Overview

Asheville Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 6

Thank you for your interest in Good Intentions! We would love for you to stay in our humble cabin. However, we also value your time and want to help you make an informed decision regarding your stay in Asheville. With that in mind, here are our thoughts on who is probably most interested in our cabin:

-Smaller groups (2-4) who want the ambiance of a cabin at a fraction of the cost.

-Groups who want a country feel while maintaining close proximity to downtown Asheville (about 6 miles).

-Groups who want to enjoy beautiful views from a spacious deck.

-Groups looking to check out nearby attractions such as Chimney Rock Park, Biltmore Estate & Winery, Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina Arboretum, Great Smokey Mountain National Park, and Grandfather Mountain.

-Adventure seekers looking for a headquarters to crash in after a long day enjoying all the great hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, and other things Asheville has to offer.

*Please scroll down to the bottom to see who may be looking for something else

And, to help you with your search, here is our opinion on who might be looking for something different:

- Larger groups (more than 4). We do offer a full-sized futon and two twin-sized cots, but realize that may be inadequate for people with certain sleeping requirements. Also, more than 4 people may difficulty sharing the 2 full bathrooms.

- Those looking for long-term rentals. We only offer up to 4 weeks stay at a time (please see 'Rates').

- Those looking for an all-inclusive resort experience. Our cabin is a 'real' house in a residential community. There is no slope-side skiing or 24 hour gym onsite. Relaxing is the main activity!

- Groups with pets. We do not allow pets.

Comfy and beautiful accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

It's LOVELY! The cabin is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful views. The rooms are spacious and the furniture is comfy. The middle floor is the kitchen and living room and the wraparound deck. The upstairs and downstairs both have a bedroom and bathroom. The showers are nice with adequate water pressure and plenty of towels. Linens are nice and beds are comfy. There is adequate closet space. There is a futon in the living room that sleeps comfortably. We had 5 people in our group and everything about this cabin worked out perfectly for us. You have everything you need for easy living -- oven/stove, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, washer and dryer. There is no microwave so be mindful that if you want to prepare food you'll do it with the regular oven.

The only word of caution I would give about the location is that (depending on which direction you come in) the roads can be very windy, steep, and daunting for anyone who isn't used to driving in the mountains. The house itself is on a steep hill. So drive safe and get there before dark or you may have a bit of trouble finding the place.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here and would definitely come back again.

Such a wonderful stay!! It had everything we needed. We appreciated how everything was explained to us how to work!! Only thing we wanted was menus for places that delivered or did take out. Otherwise wouldn't change a thing

Good Intentions-great experience!

  • 5 of 5

2 friends and I stayed at "Good Intension" for 3 days while we attended a conference at the University of N.C. The house was perfect for us -so close to the university, yet a beautiful rural setting high on a hill with great views. the house was spotless and lovely and had everything we needed!

Thanks Blake for your hospitality!

Location, location, location

First off let me say this is a beautiful home in a secluded area yet literally just a few miles from downtown Asheville. From the moment we walked in everyone loved the cabin and the mountain views were an added bonus. Individual sleeping rooms on their own floors were great and the futon / bed was perfect for the kids. We ate out basically every meal so not having a microwave wasn't an issue for us however the only suggestion would be to maybe install coat hooks on the wall opposite the breakfast bar so guests have a place to hang their coats throughout the seasons. I for one was amazed at the wi-fi speed up there in the mountains, it blows away what we have available at home in the "big city". After tubing in Maggie Valley, a day at the Builtmore and other area attractions this is a great place to come home to and relax for the night and we'll recommend to anyone we know traveling to the area in the future.

Beautiful house, but a bit hard to find

  • 5 of 5

The house is really quite beautiful, clean and well maintained. The upper bedroom is a particularly great space. Living space is on the smaller size but has wonderful views. The owner did a great job with the description of who this property is best suited for - 2-4 people. Their YouTube videos of how everything works were really helpful. They were prompt in getting the security refund back to us.

The one problem we had was finding the house the first night. I would recommend really paying attention to a map of the location before you set out and printing out directions. GPS didn't work for us and the country roads are not the clearest. After we finally found it, it was an easy 15 min drive to get back and forth to downtown Asheville.

Clean Country Cabin

  • 4 of 5

Property is very clean and new. Everything was where the owner said thing would be and was very responsive to questions and emails. Close to Biltmore Estates, only about 15 mins away. Very comfortable beds. Wish property had a toaster and a microwave. We would recommend the property for your stay.
