Fun Times in a cold city!

Staying in the Fishbowl (about 6 days) was one of the best decisions that I could have made regarding this trip! Nico was great in communicating and even took time to help me get my bearings upon arrival. The location is perfect for someone who does not have a car and isn't opposed to the Metro. All the comforts of home and yet still a vacation feel. I especially appreciated the option to cook using the fully stocked kitchen. There are several restaurants and attractions within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who is not looking for the traditional Montreal hotel experience.

Thanks Nico!

great place to stay

I would absolutely hope to stay at the "fishbowl" again. I was there for 4 weeks while working in Montreal. The building itself is contemporary and an excellent location for Old Montreal and the subway, also there was easy walking access to the center of town. The location of the unit within the building was quiet and peaceful which I loved. The building's employees where terrific and they attended to the few needs I had very quickly. The unit is prefect for one person or a couple. The bedroom is created by moving walls that separate the living room and sleeping area. This made a nice blackout for sleeping. The furniture is Ikea chic. There is beautiful hard wood flooring throughout. The kitchen area, though small, has beautiful appliances and there is a regular sized refrigerator but the cupboard space is mostly for tall people. It was spotlessly clean when I moved in. With the blinds up, it is bright and sunny due to the wall of large windows that look out onto a nice city scape. Nico was great with customer service from the first communication. Responses were quick and easy. He is personable, friendly and very helpful.

Great Stay and attentive owners

What a wonderful property!
The view is amazing, the apartment is simple yet homey and the location is really to die for. You are within minutes of the Old Port, St. Paul Street (shopping, restaurants, lounges). There is a restaurant on every street corner. Hard to pick which ones to go to!
The owners were prompt, courteous and welcoming. Even checked in with us halfway through the stay via email.
The apartment was clean and just as pictured. The building was great as well. All appliances were new and worked well. All amenities needed for a perfect stay. One thing that really stuck out for us is that the sheets and bedding were so clean and comfortable. Much better than any hotel bedding I have every experienced. They really knew what they were doing in picking them out!

Probably the only tricky part was parking. There is a lot across the street (about $20 a day) but you could do some fancy footwork to work the system and pay less with lot parking and street parking. There are weird on street parking hours/pricing. We made it work though and were expecting to pay to park in Old Montreal since we are from Boston and realize the intricacies of parking in an old part of town. There was also a water main break in the area and we did not have water for a couple of hours (typical for such an old part of town, does anyone remember the aquapocolypse in Boston of 2010?). The owners were sympathetic and apologetic for the inconvenience.

We really lucked out in finding this apartment. I will recommend this to anyone I hear is planning a trip to Montreal and really want to experience what it is like to stay in a bustling yet historic area of the city.
