QUIET HOME ON THE YELLOWSTONE RIVER, A WALK AWAY TO YELLOWSTONE PARK

Gardiner Castle Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, sleeps 1-3

PARK PLACE is a tranquil spot for those looking for 'a home away from home' while in Yellowstone Park. We offer a comfortable place with excellent location right on the Yellowstone River bank. Here you can rest after your daily adventures in our National Park and forests.

Our home has the feel of a cabin in the mountains but with all the comforts of the city. We are located within walking distance from downtown Gardiner. The main bedroom is located upstairs with a balcony that opens to beautiful views of the mountains and right on the Yellowstone River. You will love the sound of the river or relaxing here after a day of hiking or exploring the Yellowstone wonders.

Those who love fly fishing will have a chance to do it in our Blue-Ribbon Trout fishing access to Yellowstone River. We have been told some of the best fishing spots are directly bellow our place. We can also arrange guided fishing tours with one of the best anglers in town.

Just outside your front door you might encounter visitors such as Elk, Deer, Bison or even spot a Bear swimming in the Yellowstone River. Bald Eagles and Ospreys can be seen also. We are sure you will love staying with us as much as we enjoy living here.

In 1978, I was on my way to Alaska to work on the pipelines and happened to stop in Gardiner to explore the famous Yellowstone National Park. I was so taken by the beauty of Montana that I have never left. Instead of Alaska, I was hired by the National Park Service. I retired in 1984 and started working on turning my property into a place where friends and family could also come to experience the wonders of Yellowstone Park. And that includes you!

Clay Willis purchased this castle in 1980

Park Place used to be a hotel for hunters in Gardiner called 'The Cottage Inn'. I bought it in 1980 because I saw the potential of turning the place into something that incorporated the Pioneer spirit of the West with the all the comforts of a city.

I found a diamond in the rough and have worked since then to polish it into a unique home.

Park Place sits uniquely just downstream from the convergence of the Gardiner and the Yellowstone Rivers. It sits beneath Eletric Peak, surrounded by majestic mountains ' where the deer and the antelope play'. Big Sky Montana where the skies are not cloudy all day.

When you come you will understand why I never left, and just like me will have an overdose of Yellowstone Park's Grandeur and be hooked for life.

We loved our stay at park place. Coming in on a dark and stormy night to this warm and inviting home was wonderful. We were able to explore Yellowstone, and Gardiner for the time we were there. Park place had everything we needed. Just perfect! Thanks Clay and Bill.

We had so much fun in Gardiner and loved this property. There was plenty of room for our family of 4! The home was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped, which was important to us as we like to eat in. Gardiner is an adorable town with friendly people and plenty of wildlife. We loved opening the door to find elk and mule deer just feet away. At night we could hear elk bugling in the distance. This unit is literally a few minutes walk from the Yellowstone entrance. Although we didn't get to go in to the park (due to the government shut down), we found alternative things to do thanks to suggestions from Clay and a few locals. Thanks for opening this unit to us. We may be back when the park in open :o)!!

This quiet little apartment was just perfect for my wife and I on our anniversary. Everything that we needed was included. We loved the large upstairs bedroom, the adjoining deck and the very cool breezes coming of the Yellowstone River in the evening....Great from Sleeping! The fact that we could walk to all of the shops and restaurants in the evening was a plus. Thanks for everything!

This was a great home base for visiting Yellowstone. It was also within walking distance of everything in Gardiner, which is a fun little town with friendly people. Bill and Clay were helpful and the books available were helpful as well. I had a wonderful time and Park Place was a nice place to stay.
