North Caicos Villa Rental Photos and Description

3 bedroom (incl loft)/ 2 bath with amazing beach & ocean views

Conch Cottage is a beautiful villa set in a tropical oasis. It has an open floor plan that feels open, airy, and spacious. All the comforts of home are here, and it will become a home you'll want to come back to every year. The master bedroom has a Tommy Bahama West Indies California King bed with sliding glass doors that allow you to see the clear turquoise water of the ocean from bed and feel the ocean breeze caress your skin. The second bedroom is spacious with a queen bed and room for a twin pull out. The second story is a loft with a pull out sofa bed, wet bar, and balcony perfect for stargazing. There are two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and laundry room on the main floor of the house. The front patio extends across the complete front of the house allowing you to dine al fresco at the large cocktail table with comfortable chairs, relax in chaise lounges and enjoy a hammock for complete relaxation including a ocean view and sea breeze. The beach is your front yard. It's about 30 steps from the patio to the water. There is also a gazebo placed on the waters edge to enjoy meals, cocktails, sunrises, sunsets, or just to enjoy the shade while watching your family play on the beach. Take a walk along the seemingly endless powder sand beaches, collecting beautiful shells (including conch shells) along the way. It's a private oasis that isn't interrupted by people, traffic, or the hassles of your busy life. It's like being on a deserted island with all the comforts of home.

You will be met at the ferry by Mac who will escort you to the house. You will then be greeted and shown around by the property managers who can answer any questions you may have. They are there to make sure you enjoy your stay. When it's time to leave, Mac will return you to the ferry. There is a cell phone available for your use while you stay at Conch Cottage and internet is provided if you need it.

You can lie in bed and see the beautiful turquoise sea, or you can sit in almost any room in the house, on the large patio, on the upper loft deck or in the gazebo and watch the water change shades of blue and green as the sun shifts through the sky. When you step into the water it's like a gentle caress. It is so clear that you can easily see your toes while standing in chest deep water. The water is incredibly clear for diving and snorkeling. Take a boat ride, paddle a kayak, sail a hobie cat ... there are so many ways to enjoy the water.

Wildlife viewing is plentiful, you don't even have to leave the front porch. There is a brown pelican that 'commutes' each evening at about 5:30 pm. The osprey dive for their meals right in front of the house. And if you're lucky, you can see the pink flamingos fly by. Hundreds of them live at the nearby Flamingo Pond. A sight you must see.

Come hear the waves crash on the distant protective reef that then gently laps the shore, feel the breeze caress your skin, smell the clean air and watch the sunrise or sunset from almost every room in this amazing beach front home. Sit on the large patio, have a cocktail and watch the sun color the sky orange as it sets on the sea. Take a nap in the hammock as the ocean breeze gently rocks you to sleep. You'll never want to leave.

About Denise Jacob

We are a family of four that loves the warm waters of the Caribbean. This is a dream come true to own such a beautiful place on the beach.

Denise Jacob purchased this villa in 2012

Why Denise Jacob chose North Caicos

The turquoise water was love at first sight. To be able to see it out of almost every room is simply amazing. We love the clean, modern lines of the house with an open floor plan that keeps the family together, but with enough room that everyone has their own space. The privacy is a rare thing to find. We love having the beach all to ourselves.

What makes this villa unique

One of our family's favorite thing is to lay in the hammock and sway with the ocean breeze. It's a place to completely relax. The internet is nice, but we find that we don't want to use it when we are there. We are too busy enjoying everything the island has to offer.

Relaxing getaway at beatiful home!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had the perfect anniversary getaway at Conch Cottage. The house delivered on all promises: it had all modern conveniences and was clean, big, and just steps from the Caribbean! The kitchen is fully stocked: no need to take anything but food. Mark, the caretaker, was there to greet us and gave us a thorough introduction to the house and the island. This is the place you want to go if you like privacy. We saw only a handful of people during our week-long stay. We drove to 4 or 5 different stunning beaches on North and Middle, and usually we were the only people in sight. Denise is excellent with her communications. We had a good experience with Virgil's Taxi picking us up at the airport and taking us to stock up on groceries before we caught the ferry. We also recommend Al's Rental Car on North. We took an 8:00 AM flight from Philly and our toes were in the sand by 4:00! We got acquainted with rum punches at the tiki bar just down the beach and forgot about the outside world immediately. (Here is an unexpected bonus: other than going out to eat and/or buying booze, there is really no place on North or Middle to blow your money. This is the first vacation we've ever taken in which we returned with most of our cash!) I highly recommend Conch Cottage!

Great Rental

  • 5 of 5

My Wife and I spent a full week at the Conch Cottage for our Honeymoon and had a great time. The house is stocked with everything... full kitchen, beach chairs, towels, rafts, etc. The beaches in front of the house were soft and the water was warm. Denise was more than helpful and responded within minutes whenever I had a question. I have absolutely nothing bad to write, it was a DREAM.

A couple pieces of advice for future renters:

1) Stock up big time in PROVO. Food and liquor can be found on North Caicos but it's low quality. Bring more than you think you need.

2) Be sure to rent a car for at least part of your trip. We stayed for 7 days but only had a car 4 of the days and it worked out great. You will want to drive to Middle Caicos as well as check out other spots on North, a car is a must for that.

3) Plan ahead for EVERYTHING. The island shuts down about 4pm everyday so make dinner reservations early in the day or even a day before.

If you're debating on whether or not to rent this property, I hope this review will persuade you to go for it! I recommend it for anyone and everyone as long as you are okay with staying off the beaten path and appreciate a quiet relaxing vacation.

Fantastic cottage!

  • 5 of 5

With a party of 5 people we had a fantastic week at the cottage. Admittedly, it was so well stocked that we could probably have packed a lot less! The views were amazing of sunrise and sunset. We were able to grill and enjoy our food on the back deck. We took our morning coffee down to the beach to roam around. We used the floaties to ride the tide. And we found some good snorkeling within walking distance of the cottage. Overall, it was just a comfortable, cozy and very amenable place to stay. I would recommend it to others wanting to visit the T&C islands but not stay in the center of the Grace Bay area. It gives you space from all the normal touristy spots. You will need to rent a car for N. Caicos and if you want to go over to Provo during the week you'll need to budget for the ferry and either a rental on Provo or cab. We loved Mudjin Bar & Grill on Middle Caicos and Miss B's on North Caicos. Those were our favorite without going over to Provo.

We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We have traveled all over the Caribbean and have rented homes on other islands as well as chartered catamarans but nothing compares with our stay at Conch Cottage. It was a completely different experience from anything we had done before. Everyday was an adventure (car rental is a must) as you explored areas like Mudjin Bay (the secret beach), the Caves, Three Mary's Kay (a bit of a trek but worth it when you see all of the flamingo's) or just walked for hours on the beach (make sure you bring water shoes as some areas are a bit rocky). There were days, when you would not see anyone. There are grocery stores - but very limited. You need to get meats, nuts, cheese, fruits and vegetables on Provo. However, there is a very well stocked liquor store with good selections of wine, beer and name brand liquors. Don't miss the "Last Chance - Bar and Grill" - great food and conversation. Also, certain times of year, you will want to go to Mrs. B's on Wednesday for the entertainment by Lovey! Barracuda Beach bar and Pelican Motel is within walking distance - good drinks, they do serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beach there is beautiful and a good place to just sit and enjoy the view and breeze. Wonderful dinners at Silver Palms- reservations are a must. Ask about the fish that is available to buy and cook at the house from either the Last Chance - Bar and Grill or Mrs B's.

If you are someone who needs to be entertained every minute - this may not be for you. If you want to get away from it all- this is the place. We saw the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed our 2 week stay and are going back at the end of June with our 2 college age boys!

We will be back!!

If you want a beautiful, secluded place to vacation then this is it! Denise (the owner) did a great job helping us plan our stay and had a ton of good information for us. I sent her many emails prior to the trip and she always responded very quickly, many times within a couple hours. Plus, the owner's provide local contacts on the island in case something urgent were to arise. The house was nice and had everything we needed for an awesome week on the beach. The listing was accurate and it was clean and ready to go when we arrived.

The only problem we ran into was that we had to eventually leave. Hope to be back soon. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a low-key, laid back vacation away from traffic, people, etc. We walked the beach for several miles each and every day and would see at most maybe 5-6 people.

Such a gorgeous view our biggest problem was deciding where to have cocktails every evening.

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to North Caicos and the beautiful Conch Cottage was exactly as portrayed by the owners Denise and Jay who are a delight to work with. They are very customer oriented and through their local managers, Mark and Lynn Rae,will do everything possible to make sure your stay is as close to perfect as possible on a small island. Mark even helped us contact a car rental office on the main island of Providenciales when the car that was supposed to be left for us at the ferry dock for our day of grocery shopping was not there. Their office would not open for 2 hours and we were stuck. He called someone at their home and 10 minutes later we had a car.

The home is bright and airy and located right on the beach. We especially enjoyed the sweeping front patio with gorgeous views of the ocean fronted with small palms. But the ocean side gazebo or the upstairs porch deck are also hard to resist-- especially at cocktail time.

While some travelers don't want TV or Internet to spoil their paradise, we were there for 7 weeks so both were much appreciated and worked flawlessly which was a big surprise based on many previous trips to smaller islands. Of course, having filtered rainwater was a big plus saving countless trips to buy bottled jugs of water. And the nicest surprise of all, every time the island power went out, CC's propane fired generated kicked in. Although, having a large, very comfortable bed was also a pretty nice luxury that we aren't used to in tropical rentals.

If you are into casinos and clubs and shopping, North Caicos is not the place to be. But if you like a quiet, relaxing vacation enjoying the wonders of a tropical ecosystem filled with long walks on uncrowded beaches, hikes along splendid vistas, snorkeling, kayaking, curling up with a good book or trying to find the elusive bonefish, you'll love this place.

There are some fun places to eat out and they are pointed out in the informative binder in the cottage or by asking your new friends, Mark and Lynn Rae, for their suggestions. If you are cooking in, you'll enjoy the well applianced large kitchen. However, if you are staying for longer than a week, you might want to consider a day trip to Provo where there are two major grocery stores that have most everything you'd find in a US supermarket. We especially like the Gourmet IGA in GraceBay. North Caicos has several local small stores where you can find most of the basics although meats are not as plentiful.
