Conch Cottage is a new villa set in a tropical oasis. It has an open floor plan that feels spacious with two or six people. All the comforts of home are here, and it will become a home you'll want to come back to every year. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, plus a loft with a pull out sofa bed, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and laundry room. The front patio extends across the complete front of the house with comfortable chairs, chaises and a hammock for complete relaxation with a ocean view and sea breeze. The beach is your front yard. It's about 30 steps from the patio to the water. Take a walk along the seemingly endless powder sand beaches, collecting beautiful shells (including conch shells) along the way. It's a private oasis that isn't interrupted by people, traffic, or the hassles of your busy life. It's like being on a deserted island with all the comforts of home.

You will be met at the ferry by Mac who will escort you to the house. You will then be greeted and shown around by the property managers who can answer any questions you may have. They are there to make sure you enjoy your stay. When it's time to leave, Mac will return you to the ferry. All on island travel arrangements will be made for you so that you can enjoy a stress free vacation. There is a cell phone available for your use while you stay at Conch Cottage and internet is provided if you need it.

You can lie in bed and see the beautiful turquoise sea, or you can sit in almost any room in the house, on the large patio, or on the upper loft deck and watch the water change shades of blue and green as the sun shifts through the sky. When you step into the water it's like a gentle caress. It is so clear that you can easily see your toes standing in chest deep water. The water is incredibly clear for diving and snorkeling. Take a boat ride, paddle a kayak, sail a hobie cat ... there are so many ways to enjoy the water.

Wildlife viewing is plentiful, you don't even have to leave the front porch. There is a brown pelican that 'commutes' each evening at about 5:30 pm. The osprey dive for their meals right in front of the house. And if you're lucky, you can see the pink flamingos fly by. Hundreds of them live at the nearby Flamingo Pond. A sight you must see.

Come hear the waves crash on the distant protective reef that then gently laps the shore, feel the breeze caress your skin, smell the clean air and watch the sunrise or sunset from almost every room in this amazing beach front home. Sit on the large patio, have a cocktail and watch the sun color the sky orange as it sets on the sea. Take a nap in the hammock as the ocean breeze gently rocks you to sleep. You'll never want to leave.

The turquoise water was love at first sight. To be able to see it out of almost every room is simply amazing. We love the clean, modern lines of the house with an open floor plan that keeps the family together, but with enough room that everyone has their own space. The privacy is a rare thing to find. We love having the beach all to ourselves.

What makes this villa unique

One of our family's favorite thing is to lay in the hammock and sway with the ocean breeze. It's a place to completely relax. The internet is nice, but we find that we don't want to use it when we are there. We are too busy enjoying everything the island has to offer.

The delights of North Caicos

I wanted to show my family a picture of what Provo was like when I lived there 20 years ago, and North Caicos is pretty close. A seriously gorgeous island, with fantastic beaches, no rush and a genuine welcome. Expect life to slow to a very slow pace indeed and get into the zen of shell collecting, wandering on the beach and enjoying a leisurely lunch. Do not expect much else and watch out for the occasional mosquito swarm and nothing to do at night.
Conch Cottage is a perfectly located place to enjoy NC, with a 5 minute walk to Pelican Beach Hotel, but strongly recommend a car to make the most of the island (and Middle Caicos) and avoid feeling a little trapped in one place. Mark at Pelican gave us a car for $60 a day and lets say the paperwork was impressively informal. Denise the owner was very helpful as were her team on island. We felt very safe and left with some sadness. Although the ferry back to Provo is an absolute highlight.

Best Villa on North

Our family has stayed in a number of villas on North over the last 5 years, and Conch Cottage is now my favorite. It is very well maintained, has EVERYTHING you need (plenty of linens, beach towels, kitchen items for cooking your own meals) and is very comfortable (i.e. fans and air conditioning). You do not need the air conditioning during the day, only at night. It is also on one of the best beaches on North (even though there isn't a bad beach on North!). You can walk down to the Baracuda Beach Bar as well as the popular Silver Palm restaurant (amazing food from Karen and Capt. Poach). The caretakers take good care of you. The villa has two nice-sized bedrooms, in addition to a cute and comfy loft area (our 13 year old loved having this space to herself!) for additional sleeping space. Conch Cottage is the perfect destination for a family, or just a romantic get-away. There is so much to do on this island, in addition to making day trips to Middle Caicos. You won't be disappointed.

Our annual 3 week stay at Conch Cottage- North Caicos

We have been repeat renters at this house since it was built and became a rental...The upgrades to Conch Cottage are great. You will find everything you need in the house, from beautiful dishes, to plenty of beach towels and chairs, a cooler. The master has a beautiful Tommy Bahama King size comfy bed, with a view of the ocean! The living space is open with a great island to prepare food, sit and eat, have a drink, check out the real world on your wifi laptop, watch TV, listen to music. There is lots of living space and seating inside and out. From the living and dining room, to the spacious outside deck, the upstairs loft deck (awesome for whale watching), getting a breeze, shade or sun-the view is spectacular. To the new gazebo, close to the water is awesome for an afternoon relaxation. There are kayaks for the the calm days...you can walk the beach, almost never ending beautiful Whitby Beach and pick up many shells and sea glass, There is even laundry so pack light, you don't need fancy clothes. We eat in most of the time but there are restaurants, grocery and bar close by. You can now get so many groceries on North you only need to get fresh meats on Provo to bring over. We recommend a car as we are explorers and usually on the go. The house is spotless and the concierge is SPECTACULAR. They are always available for any issues there may be. The owners are the same, easily reached and fast to talk to. My husband would tell me to write a bad review as he wants to keep this beautiful place all for ourselves, but I would highly encourage you to check out North Caicos and stay at Conch Cottage. You will want to return again and again.

Awesome Quiet Place to Get Away too

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at COnch cottage from 2/1/2013 - 2/9/2013. We found the place extremely well kept, clean with a light and airy spaciousness. The views were great and the beach was awesome. Denise was great to woirk with and they have a great couple (Lynn Rae and Mark) acting as a local concierge to make it really easy to have a great vacation.

If you have not been to North Caicos this is the place if you are looking to get away from everything, unplug, and just relax. There were very few people around and no noise and at night you could actually see the stars and the Milky Way. We definitely will recommend Conch Cottage to our friends.

All I can say is WOW! What a beautiful home and no words can describe the scenery...just beautiful.From the time we arrived at the house Lynn informed us about everything,we rented a truck from her husband Mark and toured to Middle Caicos and saw all the beautiful sites. We always felt safe and honestly we never saw anyone around. It felt like we were the only ones visiting Whitby beach.If you are looking for lots of entertainment this island isn't for you but if you just want to sit back and not worry about a thing this place is for you.We will return and hopefully next year.Mac was also there to meet us at the ferry and return us to the ferry when we had to leave.All the stores on island now accept visa or mastercard but take cash with you just in case.Make sure to buy your grocercies on Provo as the stores on North Caicos don't carry alot of fresh produce, milk,eggs or fresh meat.Just want to say thankyou to Denise for sharing her beautiful home!
