About the home:

The apartment it constitutes portion to the first floor without elevator of a sixteenth century building in typical Florentine style, with stone elements (cornices, frames on the windows and on the portal) that stand out on white plaster.

The many 'sporti' (beams in stone that support projecting parts) in Via Del Fiordaliso are very particulars, in various size and in various workmanship. This is a pedestrian area, where only residential car and market carriages can circulate.

The apartment is composed of: corridor, large living room, a second living room with sofabed, kitchenette, dining room, master bedroom with bathroom en suites with bath tub, 1 family bathroom with shower. Furnished with authentic antiques, it has AC. Being at the first floor (without elevator), the apartment doesn't have a real view, but each room (except bathrooms) have windows facing Via del Fiordaliso or internal courtyard.

The apartment is large 110 squared meters. It is advertised based on 4 Guests occupancy:

Additional sleeps:

In order to facilitate larger families or group of friends to share the same place during vacation the apartment can be improved with the following additional sleeps:

- Second living room: adjacent to main living room and second bedroom (separated by doors for privacy) has a queen size sofabed (sleeps 1 or 2)

- Second bedroom that usually provides 2 sleeps can be organized with bunk beds upgrading to 4 sleeps.

The cost of the apartment starts with a minimum weekly rate based on a maximum of 4 guests occupancy, additional Guests have to pay an extra fee.

A few steps from the apartment, right in the same street, you can find a small 'bottega' general food store, a hairdresser, a private garage, one typical trattoria and an upper scale restaurant, and the police station. Away from the street you will be in the commercial and artistical heart of the city: pastry, dining bar and restaurants, shops and upper scale boutiques, the famous open market of Porcellino and San Lorenzo. A great home-base for a stay in Florence!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this apartment, and would gladly go back!
The owners' were very helpful and responsive and really made us feel welcome to Florence. They were excellent hosts and made for a smooth check-in and check-out, and helped with transportation to and from the airport (a quick taxi ride worked well for us).
The location was ideal for sightseeing, on a quiet side street in a pedestrian-only area, and was very close to the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi and the Piazza della Signoria. Also, a quick walk west or south took us away from the center & crowds to some great restaurants (e.g. around the Piazza Santo Spirito, try the Osteria Santo Spirito for a great dinner).
The apartment was in excellent shape and very clean upon our arrival, and was quite spacious, with plenty of room for our party of 6. The fridge, dishwasher and clothes washer all worked well, and we cooked dinner at the apartment several times during our stay.
All in all it was an enjoyable and relaxing stay, and we highly recommend this apartment...

I recently stayed here for 5 nights with 2 friends while attending a conference in Florence. The apartment was about 1 a 10-15 minute walk to the conference at Palazzo dei Congressi, a lovely way to start the day, and within 5 minutes of the Uffizi. We found it very convenient, clean, comfortable, and very spacious. The apartment has everything you need to feel at home. The owner and manager are both very helpful and thoughtful people -- providing us with assistance with cell phones, wifi, and calling taxis! Easily 4 1/2 stars. The only downside during our stay was that it was a bit noisy in the early morning because of construction on the street.

I recently stayed here with two other friends while attending a conference in Florence. I couldn't have been happier with this apartment. It is very comfortable, spacious, and has all the right amenities (including a washing machine, cell phone, and wifi). The location is absolutely fabulous; it is walking distance to the Uffizi and many other key places. The owner is extremely helpful and thoughtful. I highly recommend staying here.

Very historic!

I along with my mother, sister and adult daughter, just returned from our 2 week trip to Italy. We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful apartment for 5 days. The location is on a quiet street near to the Piazza Republicca and the Uffizi. The apartment just exudes history! They've done a fantastic job of preserving this old building, which used to be a palace for Florentine royalty. They also managed to mix the old with the new...comfy beds, American style coffee maker, etc. Even with 4 women, we never ran into each other or ran out of hot water! This place is very large and can easily accommodate 5-6 people. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, so there are just 2 short flights of stairs, no big deal. We loved this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and recommend it to our friends!

Great Location

Four of us rented this lovely apartment for 4 nights. It is in a great location to the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Segnoria and the train station.
It was amazing to see such old architecture in such great shape! The furnishings are very historic, as well as the building. The A/C worked great and it is a big place for 4 people.
There was some street noise from the front bedroom, but there was construction on the street below, so it might not be that bad all the time.
Also, the caretakers were very helpful and even provided an Italian mobile phone, in case we needed to call them.
Definitely recommend this historic Italian experience for an apartment.
