A sweet getaway at the end of Lanikai with exclusive secluded beach used by only 5 houses within a gated drive. This beautiful cottage is literally right on the beach & overlooks the crystal clear, blue and green hued water. Wake up each morning to a glorious sunrise to start your day. The sound of the ocean fills the whole house which gets a gentle breeze most of the year. Newly remodeled, this cottage has a modern kitchen & bathrooms. It's bright interior is furnished beautifully and there is plenty of room to stretch out on the decks & beach. There is a full kitchen upstairs and another kitchenette in the studio that has an under-counter refrigerator, 2 burner hot plate and coffee pot. This is the perfect place for ocean sports, or just sitting back with a good book & a glass of wine. Don't be surprised if you see giant sea turtles swim up to say hello. You can let the rest of the world melt away in this little piece of heaven.

Lanikai is a highly sought after subdivision of Kailua. Famous for it's calm, tranquil water, Lanikai beach is great for playing in the ocean and not having to worry about waves or rough water. Right below the house is a perfect little white sand beach accessed only by the 5 homes on the property and by boat. This is a spectacular spot on a secluded beach surrounded by beautiful, calm blue waters. The neighbors are friendly, the beaches are easily accessed, and Kailua has all the restaurants and shops that you'll need. I don't think I would stay anywhere else on the island!

This is probably the most stunning property in Lanikai. The house is very nicely furnished with contemporary but warm, island decor. It also has an island character...not like some of the other stone and stucco places on the loop. The views of the Mokoluas were so spectacular, they were almost distracting and made it hard to finish my book (my only complaint!) We especially enjoyed the deck with its spaciousness and cool breezes in the evenings. The private beach was a big treat for the kids, with its crystal white sand and lapping surf. I can't imagine any other place on the beach living up to our experience at this cottage.

Private Paradise

I will start this review with the disclaimer that I typically travel on points so paying for lodging is not the norm on our vacations. So as you can imagine it was hard to swallow the nightly rate initially. However....it was worth every penny. A private, gated setting. Our own private two-tiered beach that allowed our kids (2.5 yrs and 1 yr) to play in the sand safely at any point during the day. It was the perfect spot for us. We were two families each with one child so one family was up (in the house) and one was down (in the studio). we used the house as our common space and cooked great dinners and enjoyed the house in the evenings which was perfect with two little kids that go to bed early. Overall, a wonderful experience and was above and beyond my expectations.

Vacation Perfection!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing 3 day stay at this property! We were booking our vacation a bit last minute and looking for a quiet beach front spot in the the Kailua/Lanikai area – not so easy to find. We wrote to this listing on a whim, hoping they might be able to accommodate us. Gina, the owner/property manager, wrote back immediately and let us know the downstairs studio was available and we could rent it separately from the main house. Being a bit familiar with the neighborhood, I had a feeling this home would be a gem. It did not disappoint. We were beyond amazed when we arrived! The very charming studio was the perfect size for the two of us. It's tastefully decorated, well equipped with all the necessities one could need (coffee pot, dishes, glassware, beach towels and much more), has a super comfortable bed and a full wall of windows overlooking the most amazing view of the ocean and the Mokulua Islands!

Gina was wonderful to communicate with. She was quick to respond to all our emails and even helped us with some great restaurant recommendations as well as kayak and paddle board rentals. All of which made for an unforgettable, relaxing and romantic stay! We can't wait for the chance to go back.

Located in a great spot on Oahu... this house was well equipped with anything that one would need for a nice escape to a peaceful, beautiful, and much needed getaway. I enjoyed my time here, and would recommend it to others looking for a nice retreat in a beautiful setting. In hindsight to all of my Hawaiian vacations, I would definately recommend a week in a house on a quiet beach. It's far more enoyable than your typical one week stay in the Hilton Hawaiian Village or some other highly occupied residence.
