Great stay in large, comfy, arty home

We rented the house for a month so that we could spend a number of long weekends there and it was just perfect for us. It's incredibly comfortable and filled with art. There are many different living room areas, so tons of places to curl up with a good book (and lots of good books on hand to read). There's even a napping bed on the first floor, which we used quite a bit. It would be a great place to go with two couples or two generations of family -- lots of room to spread out and feel privacy (the two main bedrooms are a ways from each other and each has its own full bath).
In the back, there's a huge deck, a beautiful lawn, and a field of wildflowers. It feels very private and bucolic. The kitchen is roomy and well-stocked (though there's a large toaster oven in lieu of an oven so don't plan to do a lot of baking). Nearly every night, we cooked meats and vegetables we had bought at the many farmers markets and farm stands in the area. We usually used the charcoal grill (and range as necessary) and it's some of the best vacation food I've ever had. The owners were great to work with and they provide a comprehensive welcome book with advice about area food shopping, outdoor activities (we went on some lovely hikes) and more. We miss the house but I'm sure we'll be back.
