Blue Haven Lake Home is the perfect place to unwind and get away from the stresses of everyday life. When you are at Blue Haven, you will feel like you have access to your own private lake. Blue Haven Lake House is located on the arm of the Colorado River so even during times of drought, there will always be water.

The Master Bedroom has a private bath, California king bed, a queen-sized sleeper sofa and a view of the lake. Guest Bedroom has two twin beds, a bunk bed and a private half-bath.

The Front Living Area has a working fireplace, TV/Blue Ray player, queen-sized sleeper sofa.

The Back Living Area has a full bath attached, queen-sized sleeper sofa, great views of the lake.

Kitchen is fully stocked with all pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. Also provided are dishes and dish towels. Refrigerator usually has basic condiments. Pantry usually has basic items: salt, pepper, seasonings.

Back porch has two grills.

Renters have use of a canoe and kayak.

Blue Haven Rental Home is located very close to the Canyon of the Eagles where eagles are known to be seen searching for a meal from the lake.

Paradise Point is less than a mile away and currently charges only $5 to use the boat ramp and park your vehicle for the day. Paradise Point can be used when the lake elevation is above 994 feet.

A floating dock is on the premises, so it would be easy to dock your boat right in front of the house during your stay. There are life vests available to use.

***Blue Haven is a Non-Smoking Home both inside and outside the home.

***Although we are huge animal lovers and have our own pets, they are not allowed at Blue Haven. We want Blue Haven to be available for those with pet allergies.

Blue Haven’s maximum capacity is 8 people, there is a fee per additional person per night.

Our property is located near the small town of Tow, Texas, which is surrounded by Lake Buchanan. The lake is great for fisherman, water skiers and boaters, and also offers a large sandy island (Shaw Island) perfect for afternoon picnics.

Fall Creek Vineyards is just 5 minutes away, check out tour times at www.fcv.com or call 325-379-5361

Buchanan Adventure Tours offers many different kayak and canoe trips. www.buchananadventuretours.com

Enchanted Rock is always a fun climb. It is about 45 minute drive.

Antique and Resale Shopping are two big attractions. There are many shops to consider in Burnet, Llano, Kingsland and Marble Falls.

Bald Eagles come to the Texas Hill Country between November and March each year. They can be found up the Colorado River and a nest is located just off of Hwy 29 between Burnet and Llano.

Longhorn Cavern is a great sight seeing adventure anytime. 877-441-CAVE.

Notes: You will need to bring your own beach towels. Backyard is fenced in making it safe for small children. There are two hammocks that can be hung up and enjoyed. There is a Blu-ray player and a TV. There are also plenty of games to play inside and outside. There is a croquet game, bocci ball and a volleyball net that can be used. We use this home as our get-away place. Currently we prefer not to have wi-fi or cable so that we can truly get away from it all. Please contact us if this is the only thing keeping you from renting the Blue Haven.

This house was wonderful! The owners were so great to work with. They even went up to the house before we arrived and left me a nice gift basket for my birthday weekend!!!
The water is pretty far down and it was still cold, but we plan to go back when we can enjoy swimming and jet skis. We spent our time relaxing and grilling food as well as playing games and enjoying the sun in the HuGe backyard.

Perfectly Peaceful

We stayed at this wonderful house for a quick weekend getaway! It is such a peaceful place! It was just me and my husband and our newborn, but our other two children would have loved it as well. It is great for kids of any age. Very spacious backyard and lots of water-front fun. We would love to go back with our whole crew. It can easily sleep a family of 6 with a couple of extras on the couches too.

The house is VERY clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated which makes it really easy for this momma to relax. We cooked for every meal and we had everything we needed by way of pots, pans, utensils, condiments. The owners have thought of everything to make this EASY! Since it was early in the season, we did a lot of sitting outside and eating outside. Very nice and easy! If we had played in the water, we would recommend some kind of water shoes (which I would wear at any lakefront area). I also really like that there are so many sitting areas inside and outside of the house. The house is much more spacious than even the pictures look. There is a sitting area with games at the back of the house and there is a sitting area with a TV/ Blu ray player at the front of the house. There are also 2 eating areas. This makes it great for some wanting to read and play games and others wanting to watch movies. Can definitely accomodate a big family with varied interests :)

The only thing that you need to plan for is that there is no internet. This was a good thing for us, as we were looking to disconnect from email, etc.

I would highly recommend this place!

Good point about wearing water shoes - we do have a few that guests can borrow, but they are smaller sizes.

I am looking forward to you and your family returning and enjoying more "down" time - something that is hard to find sometimes. :)
