Twin Birches has been a part of family gatherings and romantic getaways for 20 years. We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday with siblings, spouses and grand children from up and down east coast and as far away as London. All 29 of us sat at tables set up in the family room. When the house is bursting with family during the winter holidays, my mother loves to hear the plow on early snowy mornings knowing that some will be off to the mountain and others will stay behind to sit by the fire and read a good book. In the summer she likes to hear children splashing in the pool and waits to hear about adventures of hiking in Merck forest or the trouble people get into shopping in the discount stores in Manchester...Armani, Crew, Theory, etc.
My parents were excited to buy property in the Battenkill Valley because my father came here as a boy to visit his uncle, Horace Brown, a famous Vermont artist and a founder of the Southern Vermont Art Center, and to play golf with his father and 2 brothers while staying at the Equinox Hotel. Come share the fun, make new memories and love it as much as we do.
