The Sand Crab Cottage is a dream come true. Shabby Chic with Pampering Amenities. Cozy yet spacious. Perfectly located on The Loop at Wrightsville Beach, NC. To the left of the cottage, it's a short stroll to the beach. To the right of the cottage, a short stroll to Banks Channel. Johnny Mercer Pier is also close by for fun, fishing, and meeting up with friends.

We have thought of everything to make your stay more comfortable from the finest linens and feather beds, to the charming decor, to the welcome mat for your well behaved dogs. The Sand Crab Cottage is a rental experience not to be missed. Personal attention to detail, southern hospitality, and unexpected little luxuries are our trademarks. Come experience a quintessential beach cottage at it's best. We welcome you as we would our family.

Kid Friendly: High Chair and Portable Crib provided complete with fine linens. Nautical kids 'dorm' sleeps up to 6 and is located on the second floor next to loft. Second full bath is en suite to this bedroom.

Pet Friendly: Fully fenced yard with gated porch. Limit 2 well behaved dogs. First floor only. Gate at stairs. Pet accessories provided (crate, leashes, food/water dishes, toys, doggy pick up bags etc).

Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): Living area, kitchen, two king bedrooms and one full bath with walk in shower on the first floor. 5 steps off of ground to deck and entrance door to cottage.

Why the Owner Chose Wrightsville Beach: Wrightsville Beach is the perfect location. The water is gorgeous, the sand is smooth, the climate is wonderful, and the appeal of close by Wilmington cannot be beat.

The Loop! 2.5 mile 'loop' around the island for walking, biking, running, etc. Johnny Mercer Pier! Close by for fishing, entertainment, meeting and greeting the locals. The Beach! Step out of our cottage and you can see the beach access from the deck. Just a few houses to the left and you are there. Just a few houses to the right, and you can drop your canoe or kayak in the Intracoastal water way. Fishing! Catch your dinner off the pier, or directly from the surf. The Peace! The Sand Crab Cottage is a Seaside Sanctuary where you can rest, recharge, relax, and refresh.

dog-friendly luxury

My husband, our dog, and I spent an amazing weekend at the Sand Crab Cottage in April. We usually only stay in luxury resorts which means that our dog (who is our baby) can never come with us, but the Sand Crab Cottage was perfect! Jody had dog bowls and toys, and everything was dog-proofed (even the front porch has a gate so he couldn't get out).

The cottage is beautifully decorated, and everything little thing you could want has been anticipated and provided. We have stayed in some nice places, and this cottage was one of our favorites. We are looking forward to a return trip soon!

Every detail thought of - perfect for families!!

We rented this house for a short "staycation", as we live only 15 minutes away, in Wilmington. Despite the rave reviews, I was curious to see how I liked it, as I have high standards and have had several mediocre house rental experiences before. Well, now that we've gone...I don't have one bad thing to say about it! Every detail has been thought of, and the house is GORGEOUS. It truly is a 5-star experience. The house is fresh, clean, beautiful, and yet comfortable. It is perfect for just couples, or a family. I have 2.5 year old and 2.5 month old daughters, and both of them loved it. The portacrib made for one less thing to pack, and my toddler LOVED the "pirate room", which was outfitted with toys for kids without seeming like a second-class kid's room. There is nothing I would change about this house, or our weekend, which felt like a rejuvenating weekend worlds away from our home, despite the proximity. We will definitely be coming back!

Cozy, Convenient Cottage

We have been vacationing at Wrightsville beach since I was a little girl and we all agree that our stay at The Sand Crab Cottage was our most relaxing time. The Sand Crab was so organized and full of everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable with soft, crisp, clean linens. The house is on a fun corner with a deck for watching and waving. When we were ready to go to the beach there was a beach caddy to load with all of the beach chairs, umbrella, everything we needed. I literally could go on and on. Highly recommended.

Everything you would ever think of is provided with the Sand Crab Cottage. it's like borrowing the owners home, not renting it from them. IT is truly a sanctuary. The owner is professional, thorough, and thoughtful. Jody was a pleasure to work with and talk to. My wife and I would love to go back,God willing. We had a lovely 2 weeks.

The cottage definitely has a "WOW" factor when you walk in, and I mean all rooms. The decor is beyond beautiful, it is gorgeous.
