Relax in this beautiful Country Cottage with 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and 1440 SF. Enjoy the true experience of “living on the farm” with country setting, gorgeous mountain views from a screened in porch and open covered porch on the front of the house, cattle graze just over the fence, large yard with fruit trees, garden tub, sumptuous bedding for the luxurious king and full beds, gas log fireplace, complete kitchen, cookware, quality furnishings and so much more! With all the special touches it encourages calmness and tranquility.

Location:

This Country Cottage is located just 20 minutes North of Asheville on a private family farm. It is convenient to restaurants, shopping, hiking, walking, the Blue Ridge Parkway, antique shopping and the Biltmore House.

Living Room:

The relaxing living room has colorful furnishings, gas log fireplace, beautiful accessories, TV with DVD/VCR for easy use. There is even a video library for your entertainment. Just beyond is the dining area, kitchen, laundry area, and great screened in porch overlooking the farm and mountains.

Kitchen:

The galley kitchen is bright and you can almost smell the fresh veggies, strawberries and apples. It is equipped with everything you will need for preparing meals at home complete with cookware, dishes, coffeemaker and utensils. There is plenty of storage space for your groceries and includes a nice size pantry as well. Serve your meals in the quaint dining area which seats up to six or on the screened in porch.

Porches:

Just beyond the kitchen is a great screened in porch on the back of the house overlooking the farm and is so relaxing for coffee in the mornings. It’s quiet and calming settings invites relaxing talks and private time or an extra cup of coffee. The front porch is also covered and has a porch swing and seating to enjoy family time while enjoying the beautiful green areas framed by a white board fence that surrounds the front of the property.

Master King Bedroom Suite:

From the Living Room you’ll find a tastefully decorated romantic master bedroom suite with beautiful bedding and quality sheets. From your window you can watch the cattle, listen to the birds singing or just open the window for fresh country air. You have a walk in closet just off the master bath which has double sinks, tile floors and large garden tub and shower. Lovely soft towels complete this most restful experience.

There are so many local attractions in the Smokey Mountains. The French Broad River is 1.5 miles from property, great fishing & kyaking. Numerous Designated mountain trout streams. Alexander is bordered by Asheville, and is a great location, with events, River Arts District, Biltmore House, Numerous Craft Brewery's so many activitys in the local area that are just too numerous to list here.

We found the country setting a pleasure to enjoy in the evenings from the screen porch. During the day we explored the Parkway, Black Mountain, and Ashville, all within a short and senic drive. Vivian and Bill took the time to answer any questions and gave us some great tips on local "must sees". The house is immaculate and the beds are comfortable, we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful country setting with a view of the mountains and a short drive to Asheville.
