When your outdoor activities are done, come inside for an easy meal prepared in the efficient kitchen then eaten at the dining table with a full view of the water, freighters, and lake activity. Top the day off by watching the sky change as the sun goes down behind you.
The large house offers sleeping for up to 12+ people comfortably situated in 5 bedrooms (2 king, 3 queen, 2 twin), one bedroom downstairs, 4 bedrooms upstairs. The second home has two bedrooms with 3 queen beds (and an extra twin you can put on the floor)
The kitchen and bathrooms are state-of-the-art and feature the latest fixtures. The shower in the master bath is built for 2 and both baths are decorated with granite countertops and ceramic tile.
Having visitors? There is parking for a motor home or RV, up to 40 feet long, at the top of the hill for added guests and available as part of your weekly or 3-day weekend. There is parking for about 10 cars.
Pets are loved but not allowed in this home, keeping it as allergen-free as possible.
If you have jet skis we have a hoist that holds two (you wont have to run to the marina every day).
I do have a second home on the property that can be added to your rental. This is a completely renovated two bedroom home (new furniture, new appliances, new kitchen, bathroom, paint... winter 2013) The home is very nice inside! There is an extra charge for this home - please call me for details as it depends on how many people are staying and what time of year. It is also available to rent by the week - please call me for details and pricing.
I have 30 acres of wooded property with 4 heated hunting blinds set up -if you are interested in hunting or trap shooting please call me to discuss. There is 100++ acres of public land within 5 miles of the property.
After your stay I ask for a quick email letting me know if there is anything we can add to make your next stay more enjoyable. We also keep a variety of books and movies at the home.
I have had a number of requests to have larger groups of single people stay for a long weekend or week.
Please note - for reservations for the summer of 2015 I am only accepting reservations that take both homes (June - July - Aug) the price per week for both homes is $5,000. You will not find two homes 30 yards apart that are nicer in the area!!!

My family purchased this home when we lived out of state, now we live in state and simply don't use it. Rather than selling it we rent it to good people to help offset the expenses of keeping it up.
When we purchased this home it was a very small two bedroom home - as you can see from the pictures we added the second story along with a new kitchen and bath... Our builder Rick Faszczewski continues to update the two homes and keep them in good condition.
In 2014 we completed a $40,000 remodel to the back house. The tile work on the first floor is amazing! All new furniture on the second floor that has a great deck off the front of the house. Using both homes offers the proximity to enjoy family, however it offers you two homes to enjoy (when enough is enough you can grab a cold beverage and go to the house the loud family member is not in... haha)

This is one of the few homes that does not sit on a bluff and has a sandy shore beach. We wanted to be close enough to town where we could walk, however we didn't want the noise of living in town.. This house is not a musty smelling nasty cottage that has not been cared for - rather it is very well cared for and will continue to be. No smoking is allowed in or near the house. No pets.
The second home makes for a great family gettogether. With the two homes there are seven bedrooms total. There is a huge tree out front this allows you to sit in the shade most of the day or move your chair to the beach to enjoy the sun.
Frank and Tracey, this is now the third time we have rented your home. For the last two years we wondered why you didn't rent the second home. This year having both homes made the stay so much more fun. The teanagers stayed in the back house and loved it. We didn't have to be tip-toe around in the morning nor did we have to listen to them after we went to bed. The homes were in great shape. Our only complaint was the basketball didn't have enough air (we couldn't find a pump). Thanks for taking such good care of the homes. see you next year.
Port Sanilac, Michigan is a quaint, quiet, quality village located on the shores of Lake Huron, just about 90 minutes north of Detroit, but a world away from any metropolitan hustle & bustle. The town offers live community theatre, a museum, marinas, harbor, award-winning restaurants, and so much more for vacationers. There are a number of small towns to visit that are all within an hour drive of the home.
Port sanilac is a great place to get away and recharge your batteries. For a special weekend getaway or simply a girls weekend. Both homes are year round homes and well cared for.

If this is your second time staying at the house call me for a price. For the discounted rate it includes six adults (and up to 4 children). Extra guests will be assessed a $125 fee per guest (regardless if it is 1 night or 10 nights it is simply a 125 fee per person staying).
Events will have an additoinal fee added.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
