A SUMMER DAY BY THE LAKE: Greet the new day with a tranquil view of the lake and the sounds of birds chirping. Sit on the deck, sipping your favorite morning beverage as you watch nature wake up around you. Walk just across the lawn to your private beach on the lake. On the large dock, you can sunbathe, sit back on the comfortable built-in lounge and read or quietly contemplate the flowing water. Fish right off the dock or just float about in the inflatable boat. Have lunch on the picnic table on the lawn or on the dining table on the deck. Spend a lazy afternoon on the quilted hammock, reading, napping, or just gazing at the treetops.
You are likely to spot some of the many local birds and animals that live near and around the lake. Most frequent visitors are ducks, geese, and deer, along with the more common songbirds and small animals. Watch as the birds, including hummingbirds, stop by the feeders on the deck. You can even enjoy the wonderful view of the lake while lounging indoors in the living room.
As the day winds down, have a glass of wine while watching the sun begin to set from the comfort of your private dock. Prepare your meals in the fully equipped kitchen or treat yourself to a barbecue on the deck. As night falls push up a chair to the outdoor fire pit, roast some marshmallows, and gaze at the stars or snuggle up inside while watching a movie on the 32” TV with DVD player or enjoy a night of casinos and fine dining—whatever strikes your fancy that evening!
Mount Pocono is a small old-fashioned town, near the I80 and I380 connector roads and smaller roads such as 611, which provide easy access to all of the Poconos area attractions. There is an affordable golf course and a quaint soda fountain shop, first run movie theater, and miniature golf, right in town--15 minutes away from the cottage. So much to enjoy, so little time--you’ll just have to come back for another stay at the lake!
