Our house is ideally located near Bordeaux and St Emilion's world renowned vineyards, in a stunning environment mixing the mineral landscape of an ancient stone quarry, where we built our award winning pool (16m x 4,5m), to the lushness of a 1 hectare landscaped garden. It is a fully renovated 18th century farmhouse that can very comfortably accommodate up to 12 people.
A few facts about the house:
It is roughly 360 sq meters and features:
- 5 bedrooms: 1 master bedroom, 3 bedrooms with double bed plus 1 bedroom with 4 single beds (the 'kids' dorm').
- 4 bathrooms (1 master bath with jacuzzi and Italian shower) plus 3 others with either bathtub or large shower.
- 2 living rooms, one with a working fireplace
- 36sq meters gourmet kitchen with 3 meters long dining table.
- Separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
- Storage room with 2nd refrigerator for large parties.
The garden is 1 hectare and offers 2 terraces, an outdoor patio/kitchen/BBQ area, a pool house with separate shower and toilet, a heated pool (heated in summer only - 16 m x 4.5 m plus a paddling area for toddlers), a large lawn and a kids play area with swings. Maid and cooking services available upon demand. This is our family home so we took great care in furnishing and decorating it. You'll find a mix of antique and modern furniture, family heirlooms and travel souvenirs, which all contribute to a chic but relaxed atmosphere.
The F. and S. families stayed at the villa for 5 days. It was awesome! We saw so many things, most notably six wineries. St Emilion was our favorite town and Chateau Haut Brion and Margaux were our favorite wineries.
But we loved the villa the most!

I have completely and utterly fallen in love with this house! Six of us stayed for a week in Chantal's (owner's) superbly appointed home in Naujan-et-Postiac. The only thing that compared with the exterior beauty of the house and grounds was the modern and tasteful interior and furnishings.
From the moment we arrived, Chantal did everything possible to make us feel like we were at home and not just guests. We ran into a few logistical problems while we were visiting (including running out of wine on a Sunday afternoon - Sacre Bleu!) which Chantal went above and beyond to help us overcome (including sharing some of her personal wine). Her willingness to make us feel like her personal guests will forever leave me extremely grateful.
This is a perfect location for visiting wineries and taking tours, all while . We spent a great deal of time in the Bordeaux and St. Emilion regions, a very short drive from the house. We also took a day trip to the coast which was nice and certainly not too far. The surrounding woods have health trails which we frequented and the beautiful old town of St. Aubin de Branne is worth the hike to view the 10th century church. The nearby village of Branne is a quick 10 minutes for groceries, sundries, and the wonderful Le 420 Patisserie for baguettes and croissants every morning.
My thoughts now are consumed by trying to plan in my next visit to this little slice of heaven in the south of France.
Seven members of our family aged 77 years to 23 years recently spent a week of utter delight in this beautiful place. The house itself was a mixture of aged creamy stone with a modernised interior preserving an immense feeling of the love and care given to their home by its owners.
There is a marvellous huge kitchen. The grassed garden area is extensive with room to use the comprehensive games equipment, table tennis, archery, darts etc.
There is an outdoor dining area plus a separate excellent barbecue equipped with tables and chairs.
The icing on the cake is the superb floodlit outdoor swimming pool set in a magical quarried area with huge creamy blocks of stone providing sunbathing and architectural delight.
We also enjoyed the neighbour's pets.
The whole undulating grape-growing countryside was scattered with delightful villages, churches, abbeys and towns, including St Emilion, St Macaire and Bazas. We were surprisingly only 45 minutes drive from the lively stylish city of Bordeaux and about 60 odd kilometres to Arcachon on the Atlantic Coast.
A wonderful, wonderful holiday. What more can we say. Jean, John, Lisa, Han, Jack, John and Jane
The house is just AMAZING!!!!
I stay in Bordeaux for 10 days, unfortunatly the weather was not the best but we really enjoy the house.
Warm and cozy, with lovely furniture.
I find the house clean and in perfect conditions.
Chantal the owner she's be so help full in everything make sure we had all comfort and suggestions for the area.
I really recommend this villa to people love the real beauty.
once again our family of four stayed at this amazing home.
for a few days of our week's stay, we were 11 people between the ages of 5-50 and
wether we were sitting by the pool or eating meals on the terrace, there was plenty of space to enjoy bonding time with others or moments of solitude.
this was our second stay at this bucolic location and i'm sure that we will return.
Another wonderful stay in your amazing house. We have been coming to
you every summer for 3 years now and each time we visit it feels like
coming home ( if only!). You must be a contender for possibly the
regions 'best kept secret destination' and the secluded farmhouse, pool
& grounds provide us with everything we could want to keep us occupied,
whilst still being a peaceful haven from our regular city lives. The
house itself of course is just awesome, the rooms and amenities are
delightful, elegant and very, very comfortable, from the master bedroom
choices to the brilliant attic rooms and the antique iron bedsteads
which the kids love. The bathrooms just spoil us and the kitchen is a
wonderful space to entertain – the kitchen table is endless. The
property is clearly a family home and not some rental shell – but its a
space that feels like my home when I am in it.. My favourite times have
been when we have shared the space with friends, and yet there are
always many places around property to retreat, find a corner and lose
yourself in a book.
The sense of calm continues when you discover the ridiculously
wonderful pool, set in its unique surroundings, hewn out of the stone
quarry that formerly occupied this part of the property. The caves are
an adventure in themselves, but really its the pool that remains the
star. Having said that, my own favourite thing is a long afternoon
reading up at the outdoor kitchen and lounging area whilst the kids
rule the pool below me. I have successfully hid from the world for
hours up there – but always been drawn back to join everyone in the
pool. On the rare occasion we decide to venture out of the property –
we head to Bordeaux for amazing shopping, or to a local vineyard for
some wine tasting… (Ok, I also have a guilty pleasure in visiting the
massive hypermarket in Libourne..) or even our recent discovery of the
outdoor tree climbing and zip line centre (very unexpected !) My kids
have loved taking riding lessons at the nearby stables and we continue
to dream up new ways to utilise the main garden between the house , be
it with badminton or giant skittles.. The transit hubs of either
Bordeaux or Bergerac airport continue to make this seemingly remote location an
easy to reach destination and we only look forward to our next visit. Thanks again.
Our house is ideally located near Bordeaux and St Emilion's world renowned vineyards, in a stunning environment mixing the mineral landscape of an ancient stone quarry, where we built our award winning heated salt water pool (16m x 4,5m), to the lushness of a 1 hectare landscaped garden. Our area is Bordeaux and Entre-Deux-Mers' world renowned vineyards. If you'd like to take a wine tasting course in either Bordeaux or St Emilion or if you'd like to visit some of the best châteaux and vineyards in the world, then this is the place.
The area is very quiet, green and lush. You'll see vineyards but not only. We have hills and woods and fields...
Our house is hidden at the end of a small earth path, so you're guaranteed privacy and quiet. Next door is an organic farm so you'll be able to buy supremely fresh produce as well as free range eggs, that you will love to cook in our big and fully equipped kitchen (we LOVE to cook so you'll find all kinds of utensils and pots and pans...).
We have spent countless vacations here with friends and family from all over, with ages ranging from 2 to 78, and they've found that there is never enough time to do all the things the area has to offer. You can go hiking, biking, kayaking on gorgeous Dordogne, go wine tasting, spend the day in Bordeaux or a little further, the Bassin d'Arcachon.
