This property is located in Treasure Island which is just the best subdivsion on the coast. It is quiet and a great get-away spot for families. We have some of the best quality Gulf water in the entire region due to offshore waters coming into the Pass with the tides. We also have City of Galveston drinking water. This is the best view anywhere because we have the ligths on the west end of Galveston Island shining across the waters of the Pass at night and in the morning we sip coffee looking at the sunrise out front. Stars and moon can be spectacular over the vast expanse of the Gulf. Pelicans fly along in formation just out front and occasionally porpoises play in the pass.
This is living on the beach at its best. The house is uniquely designed with flow-through ambiance from room to room. The view of the water from the front decks is unsurpassed anywhere. The kitchen has everything with top of the line appliances and invection cooktop. Travertine and quartzite floors throughout house. Quality mattresses and furniture.
This property will "wow" you. It over delivers on what is shown here on VRBO. 7 adults met for a family reunion and brought along 2 dogs. We all had a great time. The owners go "above and beyond the call" as to how they manage this property. Book it!
We are seven seniors. House, view, everything was great. We mostly cooked, ate, and enjoyed our toddies rocking on the deck. I cannot imagine a better equipped vacation rental. Thank you Diane and Blake for creating such a fantastic place. We'll be back.
We are seven seniors. Went in mid sept. Everything much less crowded. We spent almost all of our time cooking, eating, rocking, and enjoying the views. It was fantastic. The house was great - had absolutely everything we needed. I can't imagine a vacation rental any better equipped. We are already planning our return trip. Great hosts. Thank you Diane and Blake. (Gary Stegall and seventy's kids from Waco)
What a wonderful place and location! It's beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Thank you Diane and Blake for being so wonderful. Everything about you and your place make renting a pleasant experience. I look forward to coming back soon. All the best to Toto!
We reserved this vacation home for a week as a family celebration/mini reunion event. When we drove through Galveston, the water was so brown and the smell was horrible but we kept driving to our destination on Treasure Island and cheered when we caught sight of the clear water and stunning views!
We had the BEST time! And we owe it all to this lovely home and beautiful location! The house is beyond amazing!!! There aren't enough exclamation marks to convey how pleased we were. The rooms were beautiful, the beds so comfortable we had to pry the kids out every morning, and the views will bring tears to your eyes. I actually enjoyed doing the dishes because of the view.ha
The house is stocked with every appliance you will ever need and some we weren't sure what they were. There were even several games in the living room cabinet that we enjoyed getting the whole family involved in playing!
We practically lived on the decks and on our own little private strip of beach. We took our dog (mastiff) on walks every day to the beach and around the neighborhood (pretty sure he is still depressed because we had to leave...actually we all are). The ramp was a lifesaver for him and my elderly mother, not many of the homes had ramps so we were very happy our's did. There is a little store you can purchase emergency supplies from across the highway but for larger purchases you need to make the drive to Freeport.
We are still talking about this wonderful vacation and how much we loved the house and the location. If you are trying to decide which house to reserve on the beach for any type of vacation, stop looking now. This is it! Also big thanks to Blake and Diane for being so wonderful, and sending out the manager to show me how to work the television and lock the door.lol So gracious! We will never stay anywhere else!!!!
Well appointed house with stunning views. Great for family vacation. Beds are comfortable. Rocking chairs are nice… wish they were on the front and back porches, but we drug them around and followed the sun. Kitchen very well appointed with every appliance and gadget we needed. Our Boston Terrier loved it and we were so happy to have our pet along for the trip.
Great birding and fishing area; huge wildlife refuge area in backbay area; great kayaking spot Nice drive along Bluewater Hwy through Galveston Island leads to Moody Gardens and spectacular tropical gardens, aquarium, IMAX, etc.; great dining; historical strand district and shops.
