Great Value! Would definitely rent again

  • 5 of 5
I rented this house over new years for a group of 15 young adults (ages 25-33) and could not have been happier with my selection, especially for the price.

Overview: The house was extremely clean and well maintained. We loved having the spacious kitchen for cooking and group dinners, and the separate living room was great for watching movies. The layout of the house was perfect for a group of this size and never felt too crowded (we spent most nights hanging out at the house). Kelly was incredibly helpful in answering my questions, and made sure that the driveway was plowed each morning (which was great because we got a ton of snow while we were up there)

Location: The house is about 15 minutes from Killington mountain, but only 10 from the skyeship gondola. I would definitely recommend starting out at skyeship gondola it is really easy to park and rarely crowded. The house is also located right next to the long trail brewery, which has great food and beer for after skiing!

Cons: the only con was that the house only has 2 bathrooms, so if you are with a big group there might be a wait to use the showers, although this is minor considering the quality of the house.

Overall I would definitely recommend this house!

Comfortable house in beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5
The setting is beautiful, with lots of outdoor space, fantastic front and back porches, and fire ring for the evenings. There is also a pond right out back and a stream just beyond that, good for exploring.

The house itself is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space inside for our group of 10. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the gas grill on the back porch was just right for our group that mostly stayed in in the evenings and cooked dinner for ourselves.

Overall, the setting is fantastic, and the house spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were very happy with the entire trip, including this very good house.

Hidden Vermont Gem!

  • 5 of 5
My Fiancée and myself have stayed at this property a few times. We love it! Light pollution?? None!! We sit outside at night and look at the stars. Its by far the best view in New England....And I was raised in MAINE! The house itself is more than enough room for 14 close friends. It was super clean when we went in and I don't think it was messy but I assumed it was cleaned regardless after we departed. There is a river in the way back yard, and a pond as well so there are multiple places on the property to just go and relax. We enjoy walking down to the Long Trail Brewery at night to sample the local beer. This is why we love coming to Vermont. Its peaceful and quiet. We can adventure out and find fun but when we come home we have the solitude that we would love to have but cant seem to find down in the city... We love this place so much we are getting married in this back yard next month!!! Cant wait to come back in the winter time. The mountains are close enough you don't have to worry about a long drive back to MA or NH....

Great location-great comfort!

  • 5 of 5
I have rented this home both in the fall and the winter. It is the perfect location to enjoy a great Vermont getaway.
For a large group, there is space to both be together or on your own.

Bedrooms are spacious and there was never an issue with the bathrooms/showers. The large open dining room/kitchen area worked well for our large group as several of us prepping meals could be part of the conversation. There was plenty of seating for everyone.
The fireplaces both inside and out were warm and cozy. We were easily able to gather around either.

In the winter, the convenience to both Killington and Okemo can't be beat. We were fortunate enough to have had a good "dumping" of snow while staying here. The driveway was plowed early enough for us to make it the Skyeship to create some fresh tracks at Killington!
The homeowners are pleasant and easy to contact. I would definitely rent this home again, as it is not only clean, peaceful and relaxing, but also convenient to many great outdoorsy and shopping experiences!!!!

Beautiful House - Great value

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at the farmhouse for a week and it was perfect in every way. There were eight of us, and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed and so were the bathrooms. There were TONS of towels. We really appreciated the washer and dryer. We spent most of our time enjoying the porch and the decks. We also enjoyed sitting by the pond. The house is close enough to shopping to get everything we needed, but in a very rural location. The house was clean and very well maintained. We have been at this house twice before at leaf peeping time and look forward to going again. The owners were very helpful and pleasant. When ever I go back to Vermont, I will always rent this farmhouse if it is available.

Gorgeous Setting, Great Property

  • 5 of 5
I've stayed here several times for long weekends during ski season, in the summer, and during peak leaf-peeping. Each time seems better than the last. The property is beautifully maintained, with modern furnishings and amenities set in the midst of a gorgeous, rustic farmhouse setting--a stone's throw in one direction to your own hikeable backyard mountain. Toss the stone in another direction and you've hit the quintessential Vermont country store and its nearby neighbor, the Long Trail Pub and Brewery--an ideal spot for apres ski or apres hike or bike. I brought my road bike along a couple of Octobers ago and did some fantastic foliage rides starting out from the farmhouse...some easy, some a little more challenging, all worth hauling the bike up to Vermont.
Speaking of the farmhouse, I've stayed there at times with a group that had at least a dozen folks in it. There was plenty of room, nobody was tripping over each other especially in the fall when folks natually migrated to the big backyard deck to kick back and wind down after a day of hiking and ATV-ing and just take in mountain view. In short, I can't wait for my next visit to Bridgewater Corners. Each time has been different and each time has been a greatly relaxing get-away, thanks in large part to great accommodations.
