It is five minutes away from the Manti Mormon Miracle Pagent help in June.
My dad and I came up to Utah to ride ATVs on the many nearby trails. This cabin was the perfect place to stay during our visit. It was very clean and comfy. The kitchenette provided us with a place to cook our burgers and steaks (there was a grill outside, but it was a little chilly, as we visited in late March) and had plenty of dishes, cups, and utensils. There was also a large collection of DVDs that we enjoyed as well as a cupboard full of board games. When we arrived, a large basket full of delicious goodies awaited us. Among these was some delicious hot cocoa mix, perfect after a day of riding ATVs in the snow. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin and would highly recommend it as a "home away from home". The owners were extremely friendly and went out of their to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a wonderful time!
This was such a fantastic place to relax. The owner's had a personalized basket ready for all 5 kids as well as one for the adults, as well as cookie dough with cutters and sprinkles for the kids to make. There are so many games, both indoor and outdoor, kids were entertained even on the cooler days we were not able to enjoy the outdoors. The cabin is roomy and comfortable. We are looking over our calendar to book our next stay!!
Our family of 6 had a FANTASTIC time at Granny's Cabin Rental! It is very clean and well maintained and the decor is so cute! The huge comfy couch fit all of us for a movie and the large kitchen table was perfect for gathering around to do puzzles and play games. We enjoyed our meals out on the patio and had a great time roasting marshmallows. The lawn is beautifully kept! My favorite part was rocking on the front porch in the mornings and evenings! Palisades State park is less than a 5 minute walk up the road. The owners are GREAT and provided every amenity imaginable. My kids loved the welcome basket! Thank you for a much needed, GREAT vacation!!!
My wife and I stayed at this cabin in the middle of July, and we were extremely pleased with our stay. We will definitely return should we want to "get away" to central Utah again. We are relatively new to Salt Lake City (from Michigan), and it was a pleasant drive to Sterling (2 hours). While there we were able to relax and re-charge from our normally busy schedules. The cabin was well kept, clean, and as-advertised in the photos. The sleeping quarters were all located downstairs, with 2 beds and a set of bunks, and the air conditioning made for very comfortable sleeping despite the summer heat. There was a TV and DVD player, though we never turned them on, though we did read on the comfortable couches. The kitchenette was stocked with cookware, silverware, burners, and glasses, and the front porch had two nice rocking chairs to catch the sunset. We also used the grill on the back patio for most dinners. The back yard contained a fire pit, along with stocked firewood, so our evenings were spent star-gazing at the fire for several hours; although there were some other homes nearby, when the sun went down there was so little light pollution in the area that the stars were like nothing we'd ever seen.
The cabin is very closely located to a great golf course (very inexpensive compared to SLC, with Amazing views), and there is Pallisades State Park right nearby with fishing and swimming options for kids. We happened to rent an ATV from in town while we were there, which was also really fun.
Sterling is very small, so trips for anything usually meant driving 5 miles to Manti. The only slight downside, which is not a reflection of the cabin but the nearby area, is that there was NOTHING open (grocery stores, most gas stations) on a Sunday in either Sterling or Manti, so we had to get creative for dinner one night; however, better preparation would have solved that easily.
This is a new rental property, which is why there are so few reviews. The owners were very nice and super accommodating; while they lived nearby, we never felt that the proximity impinged on our enjoyment. The owners clearly went out of their way to make us feel at home, starting with a gift-basket on arrival, and including additional snacks and restocked firewood upon returning from a trip.
Even though it’s been a couple months between our stay and this writing, my wife and I keep mentioning how nice everything was. We certainly want to rent this cabin again next summer!
