*** Enchanting Apartment In Trastevere (Wifi-A/C-Great View) ***

My husband and I spent 9 nights in apartment 19 for a special birthday trip. Lamberto, the owner, was friendly, professional, helpful and spoke great English. Bread, eggs, butter and milk, along with a welcome bottle of Chianti, were most appreciated. There were also some basic cooking supplies and spices which we didn't use....didn't go to Rome to cook!! He took the time to explain how to use the public transportation to some of the more unusual sites that were on our list to see. He also recommended restaurants and nightclubs and some shopsthat we asked about.

The apartment was extremely clean and very comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the hot water plentiful and strong in the shower. While I wouldn't classify this as a luxury apartment, it was certainly above average. The value for quality received was exceptional. We even kept the apartment while we flew to Sicily for 3 nights so we could travel with overnight bags and leave our big suitcases behind. While we were gone maid service was scheduled and we returned to fresh linens and a clean apartment! All cleaning and the reliable wifi were included in the rental price....no additions to the quoted lease price at all.

Finally, you just can't beat the location. Trastevere is the best neighborhood in Rome as far as I'm concerned, with definitely the best restaurants. While we went to the historic center and Vatican and all of the usual sites, returning to Trastevere every evening before dinner was always highly anticipated.

I don't think we will stay in a hotel again when traveling abroad - our Apt. 19 experience was a great one, and I highly recommend it to all.

Our family of four, two adults and two older teenage girls, arrived in 37 degree heat, to a really lovely welcome and absolutley delightful air conditioned apartment. The owner was really thoughtful and provided breakfast items in the kitchen, which was my favourite room; the photos do not do the kitchen justice. Trastevere is a cracking location, with a sense of being in the heart of things, yet not at all touristy. Plus a great little supermarket just minutes from the apartment. The beds were really comfortable and the the apartment super clean. - we are looking forward to a return visit.

Our family of 5 stayed at this wonderful, tastefully decorated apartment for 6 nights and felt like we found our 2nd home - we can't recommend Apartment 19 highly enough. The location couldn't have been better - very close to all of the action in Trastevere yet very quiet and relaxing at the same time. You truly feel that you're part of a classic Rome neighborhood with all of the small shops (wine, butcher, cheese, bread, etc.) and fantastic restaurants (both cafe and restaurant on ground floor of building are amazing). There were no throngs of tourists yet you are a 3 minute walk from beautiful Piazza di Santa Maria (Piazza San Cosimato is great as well with fun playground for kids). There is a vegetable market each day in Piazza San Cosimato (fish on Tuesdays).

The flat has everything one could need including guide books and a fully stocked kitchen. Lamberto was incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating.

We certainly won't be staying in a hotel next time we're in Roma - only at Apartment 19!
