Located on one of the highest points of Rainbow Bay, the view of the Atlantic when it is 'raging' is spectacular. When you listen closely, you can actually hear the lapping of the Caribbean and the Atlantic waves as two distinct sounds. Sun Terrace was originally built as a getaway for the owner and his wife. They use it only occasionally, and so have decided to let others share this wonderful house. This is a special place as you will see. The 900 sq. ft. deck has 360-degree views. Guests have commented, 'It's like a view from an airplane!' The giant 6' x 6' shower room and the hand shower on the top deck are incredible. The four-stage water filtration system is top of the line and gives you all the pure ice you will need for the Coconut rums you'll sip as you watch the sun set over the Caribbean. Sun Terrace is a short 3-minute walk from Rainbow Beach.

Top of the World Sun Terrace can be rented as a one-bedroom, using just the upstairs, or a three-bedroom, using the downstairs two-bedroom suite as well. If you don't need the downstairs suite, it will be locked off and left empty. We won't rent it to anyone else, with exception of June 15 thru August 15, 2013, when the downstairs will be occupied by the owner's daughter and grandson. As they used to live on the Island, they can help to guide you on many of your Island adventures as well as keep up the house and garden. The upstairs apartment will be available for rental during this period.

The upstairs suite has a beautiful open floor plan. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and an Island sink/bar with granite top. Gaze out at the Atlantic surf or turn to the tranquil Caribbean as you enjoy your meals. The living room has 2 comfy couches and a chair to watch the cruise ships pass on the Atlantic, or to watch TV. When you get sleepy, the TV swings to view from the queen bed or you can just gaze out to the Atlantic through the 9' glass doors beside the bed. There are also 2 screened porches to sit out on, one in the front Atlantic side and one in back with the Caribbean view. At present there is but one other house (rarely used) on the entire hilltop. So, if you want a private sun deck, you've got 900 square feet of it up top to suntan whatever or use the telescope at night to observe more stars than you ever saw before. This is an ideal place for two people to enjoy, but if needed the one couch can fold out into queen bed.

For larger groups, you can use the downstairs two-bedroom suite as well, except from June 15 to Aug. 15, 2013. Downstairs has two bedrooms (a king and a single), a living room, a beautiful kitchen, bathroom, outdoor shower, a deck, and a laundry room. As mentioned, if you don't need the downstairs apartment, we will leave it empty. We won't rent it to someone else.

Amenities include air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player with video library, and an outdoor gas grill.

Amazing Views--Great home away from home!

Top of the World Sun Terrace is truly the perfect name for this house. The 360 degree views of the Atlantic and Caribbean from the roof deck were beautiful--day, sunset, and night! Waking up on the 2nd floor and looking through the screen porch to see the sun rise over the Atlantic--amazing! This house is well-made with all modern features and is next to just one other house (which did not seem occupied while we were there). My husband and I stayed on the top floor and two of my cousins in the bottom floor. We enjoyed grilling, utilizing the beautiful indoor shower as well as the island shower, and also hanging out indoors with a cross breeze all the way through the house! You can walk to Rainbow Beach, and the house is an easy driving distance to many great things Eleuthera has to offer, such as: Fish Fry on Friday nights in Governor's Harbor (complete with food, drinks, music, dancing, and limbo!--where tons of people hang out), Alabaster beach at Cocodimama (gorgeous clear water--we saw a sting ray come close!), the Glass Window Bridge, the Rainbow Inn with great food, live music, and views of the Caribbean, a fresh produce stand just North of the Rainbow Inn (lettuce picked right from the garden, peppers, onions and sweet, delicious pineapples, as well as coconuts), fishing trips leaving from Gregory Town, and various other beaches you can find that you will have all to yourself (literally). Eleuthera's laid-back pace, it's charm and beauty was wonderful, and everyone we met was SO friendly! We also had one of the island dogs, Daisy, stop by and stay for the last day we were there, which was pretty cool. The owners were staying on the island while we were there and on our last day dropped off some home-made pineapple upside-down cake--yum! Overall this house really felt like a home away from home for us. We hope we can return to visit Eleuthera again!

we spent10 beautiful days at sun terrace the house is on one of the highest spots on island with great view of atlantic and caribbean. we loved the sunsets from top of house with a glass of coconut rum what a beautiful sight. accomodation were first class,pillow top matteres was very comfortable. cant waite for return trip

Relaxing, luxury stay at the Sun Terrace

Just returned from a wonderful week at top of the world sun terrace. The owner was very helpful with all my enquiries and questions as it was our first time in the Bahamas, and two weeks after hurricane sandy, so we were concerned, but no damage to the property. The house was perfect for the two of us, it was immaculately clean, no bugs for the whole week, lovely breezes, very well equipped, good layout and felt we were in a luxury apartment, ideal for a holiday.

Great views of the Atlantic from the lounge and bed, and of the Caribbean from the back of the property,, and all round beautiful view from the roof, easy walk to Rainbow beach which was lovely and protected from the November winds.

We would stay again and again.

What a view!

We truly enjoyed our stay! The view from the rooftop was spectacular. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. The location of the house is in a great spot. We were in walking distance to two great beaches! We had a great time exploring the island. Great stores in Gregory Town, good food at Rainbow Inn, Cocodamama's, and Sky Beach. We went snorkeling and saw many exciting things! The accommodations were wonderful! Can't wait to go back!.
