Farmhouse, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6-8)

Although we are only one mile outside of the town of Damascus, we are surrounded by 80 acres of trails and woods. A pond for fishing and trails for your horses or take a two hour trail ride about 5 minutes from our house. You will have your own private floor with work out room,private full kitchen,private washer/dryer and game room. You may also enjoy the hot tub, theatre room and grill. Baltimore and Washington DC are only 42 miles away, Adventure Park is only 8 miles away and Harpers Ferry is only 35 miles away (you can go rafting or boating there) Feed our horse and if we are here, you may groom the horses

You will find the accommodations very clean and comfortable. A little about us... We have 3 boys and have rented out our beach places and thought there might be an interest for others to enjoy a country get away at our home in Damascus. During your stay you can have as much privacy as you want or choose to join us in whatever we might be doing during your stay.

Keywords: Come enjoy your stay with or without your horses at our newly built farm home with trails, fishing pond and much more. You will find the rooms very clean and comfortable. Lots of games for the kids and close to Washington DC, Gettysburg, Baltimore and Harpers Ferry (water rafting available). Horseback riding 5 minutes away for those who don't have horses of their own. Feed and groom our horses if you like, Adventure Park about 10 mins away.(see link) If we are home during your stay, we will give the kids a mini hay wagon ride thorough the woods. Theatre room, Private entrance. Full kitchen, Private washer/dryer. You will enjoy the lower level of the house which is about 2,000 square feet and 9 foot ceiling with lots of windows. We also have a beautiful two bedroom detached guest house available for 150.00 a night with a full kitchen

About The Owner

We built this house and knew we would love the country setting, woods and pond. We wanted it to be a place we would not have to go anywhere to have fun and never run out of things to do and we think we accomplished that. We are full time Realtors and thought... why not make our real estate work for us and meet new friends in the process.

The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 2005

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful farmhouse. The family was extremely friendly and helpful. It was like staying at a friend's house. The rooms were very nice and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this great deal.

soccer weekend stay

This is a wonderful place to stay!! We were in Germantown for a soccer tournament weekend. What a nice change for us from the usual hampton inn etc. ! With two bedrooms and a large play room/living room/kitchen and movie theater, we had plenty of room to spread out and rest or be entertained without getting in each others way. Tournament weekends are tiring for both the kids and the parents and it was great to be able to nap without inconveniencing the others in the family to have to be quiet or nap as well. There was a trail to walk on outside in the woods, plenty of movies to choose from and fabulous breakfasts each morning when we needed to eat. Our host was gracious and hospitable, welcoming us into her home with sincere friendliness and warmth. She even loaned me one of her coats to wear to the games as I had forgotten mine and didn't anticipate how cold it would be for the night games! That would never happen in a chain hotel. We will stay there again; I am afraid to compliment Still Hopes too much, for fear of not being able to get a reservation next time!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this property while sightseeing through DC, MD and North Va.
The amenities (theatre, ping-pong, etc) were just what we needed for the children to unwind after our busy days. (We are now all convinced we need a theatre at our home!)
Homeowners were pleasant and helpful. Due to our limited time there, we appreciated the privacy we had. Had we had more time we would have taken time to enjoy the horses and pond.
We will recommend this property to others.

Amazing get away

My best friend and I stayed for two nights for a girls weekend away. The place was amazing. Very private and lots to do. My friend has two children and they had a blast. The in house movie theater was just one of the added bonuses. There was horses, trails, two private rooms, a pond with cute little seating areas. Not to mention that Debbie and her family made you feel at home and part of the family. Her two sons came out and played with my friends oldest son and were extremely polite. If you are looking for a nice get away this is the place to be. Beautiful views in a quiet little town! We will be back!
