Across the street, relax or play in the grass fields of the Martineztown city park. The Martineztown park is home of the sculpture, Southwest Pieta by Luis Jimenez.
Recently, Bill Clinton dedicated this statue as a national treasure. This treasure stands just outside the door of the condo.
Within walking distance, visit the historic church built in 1889 and Manuel's Food Market established in 1925. Manuel's Food Market, known as 'Manuel's' is well stocked with basic grocery needs such as eggs, milk, bread, and a variety of snacks.
Then, ride Albuquerque's newest feature - the New Mexico Rail Runner Express. This train services Santa Fe and other outlining areas. The main train station is 1 mile from the condo.
This condo is in the center of New Mexico's famous tri-cultural atmosphere. Hope to see you soon.
Born and raised in New Mexico, Anissa enjoys shaping a positive experience for guests to the area. Do you need a ride, recommendation, toothbrush, or even a babysitter? Let us know.
Do you just want a little quiet time and privacy? Anissa can offer that, too.
With expertise in both architecture and construction, Anissa offers a charming and well maintained condo. We are constantly upgrading the unit. Every visit to the condo will have a new surprise.
Owner/Property Manager purchased this condo in 1998
This condo has many positive attributes. Once within the condo, the world disappears. It is quiet and peaceful. A private yard offers a place to relax, and a spot for the family dog. Stepping outside the door, a variety of experiences are available in a very short distance - the heart of Albuquerque.
Rich in both historic culture and modern amenities, this condo is perfect for a true New Mexican experience. Within 1/2 mile the guest will experience art museums, Old Town, Starbucks, churches, and local market. For many guests, the adjacent modern medical facilities offer an additional comfort.
We stayed here for Thanksgiving week in 2009. It was just before my husband was to deploy and we were getting a last family trip before he left for a year. Anissa and her family were fantastic and interesting hosts (her daughter even babysat for us one night so that we could go to dinner alone). The townhouse was spotless, conveniently located, and very comfortable. There's a little "playhouse" underneath the stairs that delighted my young daughter for hours on end. I was able to cook a feast in the kitchen (although, I have to admit packing my own gear, so I can't attest to the kitchen gear there--I was playing it better safe than sorry). We walked to several eateries during our time there and the neighborhood was vibrant and interesting, too. I highly recommend this location. It was not available for a return visit we made and our second rental was nice, but not as nice as this one.
Perfect location, perfect accommodations, owner extremely attentive- I can't wait to visit again!
This is a very reasonably priced property we used for a family reunion / visit to Albuquerque over Thanksgiving weekend (2012). We've highlighted some suggested improvements that would make your stay better, but for our family of four plus our dog, this location / townhome was just right.
Walking distance to Manuel's market (great tamales for $.75 each), some cool restaurants, and a park across the street sealed the deal.
I was traveling on my own and wanted a place downtown so I could easily explore Downtown, Nob Hill and Old Town as well as UNM. This location was great. The nieghborhood was small, but quiet, and having street parking as well as the garage worked well for me.
The description of the layout was accurate, and I enjoyed having the space (which was a little large for me, but I can see that this would be good for families). The couch and the beds were good quality, the linens and towels good.
On the down side the chairs in the dining room definitely need replacing, the back yard seems neglected and the kitchen stock was spare. The work space for computers could have been larger, with a regular desk chair and better lighting, but I realize that's verging on nit-picking.
Anissa couldn't have been nicer, even when I inadvertently messed up the Direct TV settings.
This was my second stay at Anissa's condo. I rented this condo because I was in Albuquerque for the dog show being held at the Expo New Mexico. My biggest concern was finding a place that I could stay at with 3 dogs. It is so much nicer than staying at a hotel. If my dogs need to go out, I can just open the door to the yard and let them out, whereas when staying at a hotel, no matter what the hour, if the dogs have to go out, you have to get dressed, get their collars and leashes on, wait for the elevator, and depending on the time of the year..."freeze your behind off". There is also the option of taking your dog for a walk in the park right across the street. Another nice feature is that you can just pull in the garage, close the door and then access the condo from the backyard, which gives a great sense of security. The only reason that I did not rate this as excellent was because the unpaved area of the yard has dirt instead of grass...probably not a problem for others, but when the dogs would run around in it, the dirt gets stirred up and I have to re-bathe my show dog. I had a discussion with Anissa about this and she was very open to trying to solve this issue. If you are looking for a luxury place to stay, this is probably not going to be your cup of tea, as you will not find pictures on the wall, draperies, etc. For my purposes, this is a great place to stay! Discription and photos are accurate. Property is clean. Owner is very nice and helpful and I would recommend to friends and relatives.
My husband and I are from Michigan and have two daughters and a granddaughter living in Albuquerque, so we for the past two years we have spent Nov. thru April in this great townhouse. The home is comfortable, affordable and the location is great. Our grandaughter loves the Harry Potter room under the stairs and has taken many comfy afternoon naps there. Anissa takes excellent care of you. We love the sunny walled in back yard for our dog and the large garage for our car and bikes. The neighbors are friendly and we learned alot about the history of this great neighborhood from them on our daily walks. We tried other vacation rentals before we found this one and this is our favorite by far!
