The House:

Del Mar Ridge is a quaint two story, Five bedroom, three bath home with a territorial view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountain Range. This vacation house has a comfortable living/dining room decorated with heirloom antiques. The spacious light filled family room has a TV/ game area with windows looking out to the wrap around entertaining deck. The deck boasts a spacious covered gazebo complete with a propane BBQ, seating for eight and a serving bar. The top floor master suite has its own private covered outdoor gazebo deck great for watching the spectacular sunsets!

The Garden:

Del Mar Ridge has a private landscaped driveway with off street private parking for 4-6 cars. The garden is filled with northwest favorites such as rhododendrons, azaleas and junipers. Enjoy a brisk walk exploring the University Place neighborhood.

The Neighborhood:

Del Mar Ridge is nestled on a gentle hillside neighborhood overlooking Puget Sound's Narrows Passage. University Place's Chambers Bay Golf Course is just a five minute drive. From Del Mar Ridge. Starbucks, restaurants, shopping and entertainment activities are close by.

A Family Affair

We stayed at Del Mar Ridge for 2 nights - we were in Tacoma to see the PBR and wanted a location within cab distance of the Tacoma Dome - and Del Mar Ridge worked for us. We had 8 people staying and had plenty of room. Although we didn't cook the kitchen had everything you would need. And with 5 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms no one ever had to wait in line. The weather on Saturday was beautiful and we had a great view of the water. We enjoyed the big dining table for card games on Friday night and the complimentary bottle of wine was enjoyed by all.

Great spot for our family reunion

This house was great for our family reunion. It was clean, spacious, and was nice to have the privacy of a house to ourselves for the party. Also great location. Close to restaurants, nice markets and the water. The view from the second floor balcony was great as well.

Christmas comfort

We needed a place to house 10 of us from out of town, meeting inTacoma for a family Christmas... first time to all be together in 25+ years. We were able to settle in, have a wonderful Christmas dinner, visit with family ... all in cozy, comfort. What a great surprise to find the house tastefully decorated for Christmas, including a lit, decorated tree, multiple santas and Christmas cheer throughout. So Welcoming !
The house was actually larger than i had imagined from the pictures and the flow of the rooms worked very well for all of us to have privacy or together time, whichever, whenever we chose.
We walked down for breakfast to an old locals favorite, the Pine Cone Restaurant.
Just totally enjoyed ourselves. Wholeheartedly recommend to others and plan on coming back again for a summer treat.

Wow! We walked in and it was like perfect! We each had our own space [3 of us] and we met in the kitchen. I got the Master suite, the balcony was very peaceful. Everything worked, the neighbor was nice [he brought us BBQ] and the neighborhood was peaceful, clean and quiet. Great for walks, and the Forza coffee shop, around the corner was a real bonus. Great beer nearby, too. All in all, very very good

Terrific family rental

A beautiful and confortable home. It was perfect to rent for our extended family Thanksgiving weekend. We have 3 of our families stay here. It was 10 miniutes away from our host family house and local to everything we wanted to do. The view was great, the kitchen and family areas well stocked, and the artwork (done by the owner) was just fabulous! We'll stay here again if we bring a large group back to the University Place/Tacoma area.
