Bremerton Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Spacious apartment with all amenities

This apartment is located on the ground floor of a large building housing three apartments. There is a 1 BR apartment located also on the ground floor. This is a perfect place for one or two couples or a family on vacation. Large living room with new leather recliners and a dining area that can seat five. Modern fully outfitted kitchen to prepare meals for the family. Spacious master bedroom with comfortable queen size bed and ample room for a crib or toddler bed to keep the little ones close by., The second bedroom with two twin beds is located at the other end of the apartment for maximum privacy and the bedroom is large enough for a third bed if needed. The apartment spans the entire east side of the large building plus wraps around the back. Free shared laundry is located in the basements just steps from the apartment.

The Kitsap Peninsula truly offers the best of both worlds for visitors from around the world. In addition to all of our natural beauty; forest, miles of trails, accessible public beaches, and open spaces, the Kitsap Peninsula is fast becoming the hot spot for adventure sports, eco-recreation, fine dining, the arts and awarding winning local micro-brews. Surrounded by nearly 300 miles of shoreline and dozens of marinas, you’ll find sophisticated dining, award-winning wineries, shops filled with local art and bakeries to tempt your taste buds .This is a convenient, central location for exploring quaint waterfront communities. The combination of Native American, Scandinavian, military and pioneer attractions are close-by; the Seattle and Tacoma metropolitan areas and the Olympic Peninsula.

The Bremerton Harborside and Louis Mentor Boardwalk is an easy stroll with magnificent views across the waterway. The Harborside is located next to the ferry terminal along beautiful Sinclair Inlet. Enjoy the fountains and wide plaza while watching maritime travelers and marine wildlife.

The USS Turner Joy is a floating museum operated by the Bremerton Historic Ships Association. Moored at the north end of the boardwalk, the ship can be explored topside and below decks. She is the last of the Forrest Sherman class destroyers, built in Seattle & commissioned in 1959, decommissioned in 1982. The tour also includes a Vietnam POW memorial.

Kitsap County Historical Society Museum, located just three blocks from the ferry terminal, reveals the rich history of Bremerton and Kitsap County. Museum exhibits include a model of a logging camp and scale models depicting early storefronts. Rotating exhibits display various aspects of the county's history.

Bremerton has a designated arts district in the heart of downtown. Two anchor galleries are: the Amy Burnett Gallery, which displays art pieces created by the nationally-acclaimed owner, along with sculpture, glass, pottery and a variety of mixed-media work by other local and regional artists; and Collective Visions - A Gallery of Art, an artists' cooperative home to rotating exhibits by its two dozen members, where a variety of artistic styles and media can be found.

The SEEfilm Bremerton Cinema with 10 screens opened this summer and is located just a short walk from the apartments.

For children of all ages, visit the Aurora Valentinetti Puppet Museum & Evergreen Children's Theatre to see every type of puppet imaginable.

Want to do a little shopping and grab a bite to eat? There are many small shops and businesses to browse through during the day. Eateries are abundant, from coffee & snack shops to the larger Anthony's at Sinclair Inlet located on the Harborside Development, overlooking the Bremerton Marina.

Once you have explored all that Bremerton has to offer take a short walk to the Bremerton Ferry Terminal and head to Seattle. Getting there is half the fun! Walk aboard to enjoy a stress-free boat ride. The Washington State ferry system is the largest in the United States (third largest in the world). As part of the state highway system, ferries have right of way wherever they sail, passing by great views of Puget Sound's maritime traffic and marine life. Be sure to bring your camera. The trip to Seattle offers the majestic Cascade Mountains, with the Seattle cityscape anchoring picturesque Mt. Rainer. Here’s a list of the most popular things to do in Seattle.

Space Needle

From its hilltop perch, the Space Needle actually seems taller than its 605 feet (184 meters) and – thanks to free telescopes – gives visitors the chance to zoom into downtown or catapult themselves toward the Cascade and Olympic mountains. Since its construction for the 1962 World’s Fair, the Space Needle has become both an internationally recognized icon and Seattle’s most popular attraction. Visitors should leave time for a meal in the SkyCity restaurant: In only 47 minutes, the revolving eatery makes a complete 360-degree rotation.

Pacific Science Center

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012 (the Space Needle also turns 50 in 2012), the Pacific Science Center continues to engage visitors – especially young ones – through a variety of personal experiences. Children gravitate to the Insect Village and Body Works (where Calorie Bikes calculate energy generated), but the biggest draw may be the Tropical Butterfly Village, where those wearing yellow and red easily attract fluttering friends.

EMP Museum

Formerly called Experience Music Project | Science Fiction Museum, the dramatic, fluid lines of the Frank O. Gehry-designed building that houses both museums is a must-see in and of itself. Climb aboard a space station simulation and then have a ball with sci-fi memorabilia, movie costumes, photos and hands-on exhibits. Bounce to performances shown on the world’s largest indoor video screen and then channel your inner Jimi Hendrix (a Seattle native) as you rock out to your own composition in Sound Lab.

Seattle Aquarium

The 7th most-visited aquarium in the United States, the Seattle Aquarium features more than 380 species of birds, fish, invertebrates and marine mammals. Visitors can gently touch certain marine animals in the Life on the Edge tide pool or talk with aquarium divers in the Underwater Dome, a spherical undersea room surrounded by 400,000 gallons (1,514 cubic meters) of water.

Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour

The Spirit of Seattle’s one-hour narrated tour offers a unique vantage point from which to view many of the city’s sights with ease: Pike Place Market, Olympic Sculpture Park, the Space Needle, Safeco Field and Qwest Field, to name a few. Relax and enjoy the skyline while someone else does the navigating.

Woodland Park Zoo

Hosting nearly 1,100 animals, the Woodland Park Zoo is nationally recognized for its commitment to creating environments that are true to the animals’ natural habitats. Hippos and giraffes roam on an African savannah, and birds swoop freely in the Tropical Rain Forest dome. Kids get their own special place, too: the Zoomazium, an indoor, nature-themed play space.

Museum of Flight

Looking like the fanciest airplane hangar ever made, the Museum of Flight doesn’t disappoint. Exhibits include the first Air Force One aircraft and the original Boeing manufacturing plant. And you’ll be looking up, with jaw dropped, in the six-story T.A. Wilson Great Gallery, home to 39 historic, full-size aircraft, many of which – including a Douglas DC-3 – appear to be flying by.

Pike Place Market

This historic market, now more than 100 years old, was designed to bring regional farmers and consumers together. Over the past century, however, it has also grown into one of the most popular things to do in Seattle. The market is a feast for the senses, with salmon flying, flowers in a riot of color, and the heady aroma of freshly baked goods. Be sure to snap a photo with Rachel, the bronze pig that serves as the market’s mascot.

Ballard Locks (Hiram H. Chittenden Locks)

Thanks to Army Corps of Engineers district chief Hiram Chittenden, boats have had an easy route from Lake Union and Lake Washington to the Puget Sound for nearly 100 years. Today, visitors atop swinging walkways watch the vessels’ progress and also have a special viewing window for the fish ladder – a 21-step structure that helps fish safely move to and from saltwater to freshwater.

Washington Park Arboretum

Covering 23 acres (93 hectares), the arboretum showcases more than 5,500 different plants from around the world. Though blooms can be found year-round, spring brings an impressive display along Azalea Way, a .75-mile (1.2 km) path and in the Rhododendron Glen. A Japanese garden features a copper-shingled tea house and 11-tier pagoda.

To visit the sites listed above that charge admission fees, use a Seattle CityPASS and save nearly half off combined admission. Plus, CityPASS holders avoid some ticket and entry lines, which means less time waiting and more time doing. Seattle CityPASS includes prepaid admission to the Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour, EMP Museum, and either the Woodland Park Zoo or The Museum of Flight. Some special exhibits are not included with the CityPASS and may require an extra fee. Passes can be purchased online or at any attraction that accepts CityPASS. Use CityPASS and discover the best of Seattle.

Quaint and lovely

  • 4 of 5

We loved the location and feel of the property. It is a perfect place to start and end your day. Nice little kitchen and relaxing bedrooms. Not much in terms of view but that was fine since we really didn't spend too much time at the house. Internet needs more speed so don't plan on working or watching movies. Would rent again.

Owner's Response: I am happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Gateway Inn. I am a bit puzzled by your comments about our Internet speed. We have COMCAST BUSINESS CLASS SERVICE 75/15 which is very fast. Besides the main router we have two extenders to make sure all units will receive a good Internet signal. The Guest Information Folder in the apartment explains that there are three ways to connect to the Internet and give detailed instructions. I am wondering if maybe you hooked on to a connection that did not have a good signal. This apartment is located directly below another apartment with one of the extenders and when signing into that extender the connection has always been excellent. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and I hope you will visit again.

Great way to spend a few days in Bremerton!

This was the perfect situation for 3 adults - my husband and I loved the comfortable bed, as well as being at the other end of the apartment from our adult son. The pictures show what you get - only extra surprise - the comfortable sofas all have foot rests, which was an added plus. Also, the location is great....reading other reviews warned about a 'bad neighborhood' but perhaps because we had read this, we didn't feel it to be an issue at all. There is no way we could have had this much room for such a good price at a hotel. Two things keep it from 5 stars: the parking (a VERY tight fit...we were very glad there was only one other car while we were there), and the road noise. Our bedroom was right next to a busy street...wasn't too bad, but mornings got pretty noisy. Still, we will definitely use this again when we visit the area.

Owner's Response: I am happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Our location is in walking distance to the ferry terminal, PSNS/Naval base, downtown restaurants, movie theater and parks which means we are downtown. Some road noise has to be expected in parts of this apartment because it spans the entire East side of the building. Parking is at a premium in downtown Bremerton and even though our parking lot is tight at least we do offer parking, which is a great bonus. I am looking forward to having you back for your next visit to Bremerton.

Exactly what we were looking for!

The apartment was perfect for our extended weekend. The place was spotless, the location was convenient and the property manager was wonderful to work with! We will definitely plan on staying here again if it is available during our future visits to the area!

Owner's Response: I am so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope you will return for a future visit.

Especially nice for Shipyard business.

The property is clean and well maintained. Renate is a great host & obviously works very hard to ensure everything looks nice. She has developed a good system to make arrival access very easy.

The only think I wish I had realized is how much traffic noise Burwell St. generates (24 hrs). If you are used to a fairly quiet environment for sleep then do not pick a unit with bedrooms on the Burwell St. side.

Renate's advise about getting a small rental car is VERY accurate. The smaller the better when trying to navigate older garage & parking space.

We enjoyed our stay.

very neat and clean.

The room was very clean and organized. Everything you need is basically furnished. Did not feel uncomfortalbe at all about staying in it. Our bedroom was by the street side and that was a little noisy. There are a lot of things to do within walking distance. I would stay again when in the area.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure meeting you and the family and I am happy you enjoyed your stay. The main bedroom is located at the front of the building but with the brand new double pane vinyl windows noise really should not be an issue as long as the windows are closed. A little noise is a small price to pay for being in such a great location in walking distance to so many things.

Great location

My wife and I have 3 kids (6, 3 and 1). This house was perfect for us.

The House--- It has everything you need. The master bed is soft and the closet is big enough for a pack & play crib. The second bedroom has two beds. The kitchen has dishes for four people, a fridge and all that you need to cook on the gas stove. You can do your laundry while you are there too.

The manager was great. She met us at the property and walked us through the house. She was friendly and was able to answer all our questions

Location-- Bremerton has some great restaurants and parks. It is an easy walk down to the Seattle ferry. And a beautiful 45 minute ride through the Puget Sound to Seattle. Seattle has everything you could want in a big city. The ferry terminal in Bremerton has a set of five big fountains that my kids played in for hours.

If you are looking for a great place for your money come here. We will be back for sure!

If you ever wanted to visit the heart of the Pacific Northwest, this is the place for you Easy access to the Hood Canal bridge and the Olympic Peninsula for visiting the Olympic National Park for day hiking, sightseeing, or ferry to Victoria, British Columbia.

The Kitsap Peninsula provides spectacular views of The Olympic Mountains with Mount Rainier in the distance.

Seattle's famous Space Needle & Pike Place Market are just a ferry ride away over the magnificent Puget Sound. This growing area offers just about anything you want to do in an award winning town. The city of Bremerton has recently been voted one of America's most livable cities. There is lots to see and do in Bremerton. Take a leisurely stroll along the Boardwalk, enjoy a tour of the historic USS Turner Joy, visit Harborside Fountain Park and PSNS Memorial Plaza, spend the afternoon browsing through Bremerton's historic Arts District and unique shops. Harborside Fountain Park is one of the Puget Sound region's most impressive public spaces. Located on the waterfront, just steps away from the Kitsap Conference Center, the park features five large copper-ringed fountains, wading pools, and lush landscaping. Bremerton Ice Arena Ice Skating Rink was founded in 2002, and is an indoor rink and open year round. The historic Admiral Theatre was transformed by a magnificent renovation and reopened in 1997. Illahee State Park is just a short drive from the apartments and offers saltwater frontage on Port Orchard Bay. 'Illahee' means 'earth' or 'country' in the Indian tradition, and views of Puget Sound from the Illahee beach give the viewer a sense of what that word meant to native people. The park has plenty of parking space, lots of fresh air, facilities for a number of outdoor activities and access to a variety of water sports. And if you love golf, don't miss the City owned Gold Mountain Golf Complex, rated one of the best public golf courses in the country, several challenging courses nearby and a driving range with a putting course just a short drive from the apartment.
