Born, raised and married in the Greater Cincinnati area, we just celebrated our 32nd anniversary in the tri-state. Our background and education includes design, architecture, building and renovation of homes to their original grandeur. When we found this gem we knew immediate this would be a home we could retire to but for now it is perfect for a visiting family, corporate relocation, or just a home away from home.
The Owner purchased this house in 2011
We chose this home because it offers quaint urban living and big city excitement all within walking distance of our marvelous riverfront. This home offers original wood trim and flooring, working pocket doors, 10' high ceilings, original fireplaces and a comfortable kitchen.
Completely furnished large rooms, 2 furnished bedrooms, den (can be used as a 3rd bedroom), 3rd floor open to all possibilities, new appliances, central air conditioning, gas heat, lovely front porch and additional outdoor living space.
What a charming home you have. Everything worked out for our visit to Cincinnati and we loved staying on Berry Ave.
The home is everything that it was shown to be and the perfect location for splitting our time between our respective families located in both Ohio & Kentucky.
I fully expect that when we return to the area, you'll be first to hear from us regarding our accommodations.
Jane thank you for opening up your home to us we appreciated the home and the charm. The home was convently located to everything. We had a blast and would recommend your home to anyone who is traveling or staying in Northern KY or Cincinnati. We also appreciated the extra touches like crisp sheets a comfortable bed and plush towels . Again thank you !
Our family stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. We loved the space and location! We are originally from the Cincinnati area and the location of the home was ideal - it is within minutes of Newport, downtown, and near the airport. The home was thoughtfully appointed for a long stay. The owner, Jane, was very accommodating, helpful, and responsive to our requests.
My husband and I took our adult daughters and their boyfriends to our annual after Christmas vacation with his family. The house was plenty big for our needs. We spend a lot of time socializing in the family room and dining room. The kitchen was stocked fine (although we could never find salt :)). Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were spacious. With 3 women you sometimes have to share the bathroom....and it worked great. We walked to the little town and enjoyed strolling through the cute shops. I would stay here again.
I had family and friends come into town for my sisters wedding. The house was very comfortable, clean and roomy. Everyone really enjoyed the house. Thank you!
We rented the house for our family who were visiting in town for our wedding. The house itself is a gorgeous historic home. It's in a small quiet working class neighborhood. The location was great, minutes from Newport, Covington and downtown Cincinnati. The house was extremely clean, roomy and comfortable. Everything was in working order.. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Cincinnati.
Beautiful old home with a history - grand ceilings and ornate woodwork made this house appealing to us. As four older women we felt safe and secure in the neighborhood. Jane has equipped the home with every little essential you might need, from matches to playing cards and all the kitchen utensils! Clean and comfy beds. Plenty of soft towels, warm water -what more you ask for? Location was super! Close to grocery and restaurants...Buckhead Grille was within our walking distance -yummy! Short drive to the Ikea Outlet....shopped in Hyde Park at many quaint little stores with a wonderful lunch at Tellers... it is an old bank that has been reconditioned into a fine restaurant. Stopped at a little Tavern called Cityview for a drink and view of the Ohio River...superb! Perfect house for a girls getaway, or even a family with children...the 3rd bedroom is a huge dormitory style room on the 3rd floor that could accomodate ALL the kids! The master bedroom on the 2nd floor has a very charming fireplace along with a huge armoire...the 2nd bedroom also has a very nice armoire - plenty of closet space in all the rooms... even a dry basement if you want to send the kids downstairs to play hop scotch! Great house for all ages... we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
