Guestbook comments from the owner
Jane,

What a charming home you have. Everything worked out for our visit to Cincinnati and we loved staying on Berry Ave.

The home is everything that it was shown to be and the perfect location for splitting our time between our respective families located in both Ohio & Kentucky.

I fully expect that when we return to the area, you'll be first to hear from us regarding our accommodations.

Regards,
Jul 2014

Born, raised and married in the Greater Cincinnati area, we just celebrated our 32nd anniversary in the tri-state. Our background and education includes design, architecture, building and renovation of homes to their original grandeur. When we found this gem we knew immediate this would be a home we could retire to but for now it is perfect for a visiting family, corporate relocation, or just a home away from home.

The Owner purchased this house in 2011

We chose this home because it offers quaint urban living and big city excitement all within walking distance of our marvelous riverfront. This home offers original wood trim and flooring, working pocket doors, 10' high ceilings, original fireplaces and a comfortable kitchen.

Completely furnished large rooms, 2 furnished bedrooms, den (can be used as a 3rd bedroom), 3rd floor open to all possibilities, new appliances, central air conditioning, gas heat, lovely front porch and additional outdoor living space.

Great experience and wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5
My two sisters and our families returned to Cincinnati for a family reunion, and this was the perfect place to accommodate us. The owners even had a pack n play and a high chair for children. Jane was very responsive to any questions we had and made sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend renting this home and will keep them in mind when we return to Cincinnati in the future.

Northern KY Home: Close to Downtown Cinci

  • 5 of 5
This home was a wonderful place to stay for our daughter's wedding. It is nicely appointed and had everything we needed to make the weekend very pleasant. Without hesitation, I recommend this VRBO property, plenty of room and lots of space for everyone to get ready for the big day. The listing is accurate and we found the home in excellent condition.

The home is a short walk from downtown Bellevue and a trolley ride to Covington, Newport and downtown Cincinnati.

Outstanding!!! Excellent!!!

We arrived a bit later than expected and Jane was more than understanding. The house is absolutely beautiful. Everything was extremely clean, close to the grocery store, and well maintained. We could not have asked for a better place. Planning on coming back with the family for a Red's or Bengals game in the near future. Wonderful!!!

Loved this house!

  • 5 of 5
We spent the month of Dec. at this location to be near family and it suited our needs perfectly. It is conveniently located off a major highway, across from downtown Cincinnati near several great restaurants. The house is larger than the description indicates because the 3rd floor is like one big dorm room. It was hard cooking in the small kitchen with its minimal counter space and cooking utensils but the beautiful woodwork and pristine condition of this charming old home more than made up for it.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your response. The kitchen is definitely not the best for cooking holiday meals but other than the counter tops what would you suggest we add to help with the preparation of holiday meals?

a little gem

  • 5 of 5
This is a gorgeous little cottage with all the charm of a bygone era but all the modcons of the here and now. There was nothing that we needed for our stay that was not provided. Supermarket down one road and a lovely historic shopping village down the other. This is really a fabulous little find.

Beautiful restored home

  • 5 of 5
Beautiful old home, restored and equipped with modern amenities. My wife and I visited with another couple, and we found the two large bedrooms and the two full bathrooms on the second floor to be very convenient. Downtown Cincinnati is close by; look for the Purple People Bridge to cross the Ohio River. Downtown Bellevue is a few blocks away and worth exploring, check out the Bellevue Bistro. We enjoyed everything about this house for our 1 week stay in the Cincinnati area. I highly recommend it to others, and we plan to stay again next time we are in the area.
