location, cleanness, comfort, amenities, view of San Francisco Bay
nice place to live and enjoy city life
We stayed for a month and did not want to leave. The apartment is in a great location and the accommodations were more than adequate. The views are SPECTACULAR. Definitely one of the best apartments that we have rented in San Francisco. We cannot wait to come back!
Everything about this apartment is brilliant. Honestly, it's clean, well equipped, has fabulous views, is spacious and ideally located, you couldn't get a better place!
The location is perfect. Walk down to Fisherman's Wharf, walk into the Italian area, Washington square (coffee shops, restaurants and park) and Russian. Hill or Walk down to Polk St (groceries, fantastic wine shop and restaurants). Yes, there's hills and there's even steps in the footpath/sidewalk of the street the apartment's on but it's San Francisco, you've got to expect that and it's part of the charm. The number 40 bus goes from Union St and is perfect when you can't face walking home from Polk St with groceries or after a great feed or you shopped up a storm in Union Square!
We travelled over December with our 5 yr. old and 6mth old. The apartment had plenty of space for us all. It is perfectly equipped with everything we needed to make it feel like home away for home, including coffee machine, spacious laundry (with kids this was really important to me), herbs & spices, comfy beds & good storage. The stair gate was a blessing for our cralwing baby too.
It made the prefect base for us too. We did a side trip to Disneyland, went up to Sth Lake Tahoe, Napa and Stanford. Car hire is close and while parking can be a challenge, it was never a real problem.
Dave, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to deal with from day one. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everynting we needed for the baby and we can't thank him enough!
We can't speak highly enough about the apartment. It really made this holiday the best holiday of our lives!

First off, let me say that working with the owner, David, is an absolute pleasure. I only travel through VRBO and David is the most responsive and accommodating owner I've ever worked with. As for the apt, its ideally situated in North Beach. Perfectly located between downtown and Fisherman's Warf. The apt is extremely clean, has fantastic unobstructed views of Coit Tower and Alcatraz. The kitchen is fully stocked and the washer and dryer came in very handy. Recommendations in SF are biking to Sausalito (we used Plugz (electric bikes) which made the journey an absolute breeze), wine tour in Sonoma, a must eat at Allegro Romano (only a few blocks away) and also eat at Tony's (must order the meatball gigante) along with their world famous pizzas. Apt. is in the middle of a VERY steep hill so if you rent, just be aware.
So let me begin by saying that I know SF pretty well, having grown up in the Bay Area and having ventured into the City nearly every week-end. But living near and venturing into San Francisco is not the same as being a temporary resident. This little apartment in the perfect address near all the good stuff, and all the necessary home comforts to return to each night, allowed me to realize a little ol' fantasy, with husband and children in tow, long after I moved away.
The owners are lovely, the decor is tasteful, modern and comfortable, and the views are unbeatable. This would likely be the only place we would return back to if we rent again in SF, as we have been spoiled and would compare every place else to this Apartment. Be warned, the hill is steep, but we were billy goats after a month. A definite 5 star experience.
We were lucky enough to find this apartment for our vacation to San Francisco and could not have been more pleased. The apartment was exactly as pictured and had so many extra touches. From the moment that we inquired, the owner was quick to respond and very helpful.
The location is perfect with some of the best views of the city . We did rent a car and Mark was helpful with the garage parking as well. Thank you again.
We spent the week of July 4th in this perfect apartment. The location is perfect, the place is very clean, the owner and his son are great to deal with and the apartment is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. We love San Francisco and this place was such a delight to come "home" to.
We will definitely try and stay here again when we return.
