Overall I was very pleased with my stay from the time I arrived until my departure. Diane was very helpful and prompt in answering all my questions--and I had lots! :) The place is wonderful: you can see the CN tower from the patio, and the place has about everything (well-equipped) to make your stay comfortable. I highly recommend this place and also because I had excellent communication with Diane (thanks,Diane!). I have never been to Toronto before, so worrying about where to stay became the least of my worries. It was also my first time with Home Away--a very positive experience.
This condo has everything you could want while away from home. It's spotless, comfortable and spacious and in a very nice building with security attendants in the lobby. The location was ideal for my purposes and has numerous amenities within a two or three block radius. There are restaurants, coffee shops, a grocery store and Shoppers Drug Mart within this area.
I had the pleasure of staying in this condo in August. I was lucky enough to book it last minute due to a cancelation. The property was exactly as advertised and given the busy area, the indoor parking was a tremendous bonus.
This is a great spot if you want something in the heart of the action with easy walking distance to Skydome, Front Street and bustling Queen Street.
Diane was a pleasure to deal with and was extremely accommodating in allowing me to stay in the property when my plans changed.
Will definitely stay here again.
This apartment was an ideal base in Toronto for us and affrded us extra freedom than a hotel would have (and worked out cheaper in comparison as well!).
Some foreign traveller may not realise that a hotel will charge you up to 20% tax or more on the original quoted price, with this flat we got the flat rate including everthing! It was nice to know exactly what you were paying for the place and was a bargain to top it off.
The owner was a pleasure to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed before she left us. There were maps and other information in the desk including a sheet with all the details of how to contact the owner should we need anything.
One thing I particularly liked was that rather than dealing with thin walls and noise from above and below the apartment was quiet, no dealing with noisy neighbours at all, and we were there a week.
This listing has accurate pictures, the place was as clean as any hotel i've been to and well cared for. The kitchen is well equped with basic plates and cooking equipment and the oven immaculate!
Just steps from the sky dome (Rogers Centre) and the CN Tower we found we were close to all major downtown attractions. Parking for visitors can be an issue, there is a lot next to the building but it can be very expensive especially if a game is occuring at the Rogers Centre so invite your guests to come via the subway or towncar which is convienient and quicker than driving anyway.
There are many good restaurants along Front St. just steps away from the building as well as a small grocery store and Shoppers Drug Mart and a Tim Hortons and Pizza Pizza actually adjecent to the building so you won't want for anything you may have forgotten.
I highly recommend this flat and will gladly stay again if ever in Toronto.
Attractions within walking distance: Rogers Center, CN Tower, Air Canada Center, Much Music, Eaton Center, City Hall, St. Lawrence Market, Hockey Hall of Fame, Harbor front, Financial District, Metro Toronto Convention Center, restaurants and shopping.
