2nd Heaven Cottage is ideally located between Lunenburg and Mahone Bay on a panoramic point overlooking the beautiful ocean waters of Martin Cove.

Sit back and watch the deer in the backyard or relax on the front porch to the tranquil sounds of the water lapping on the shore as the gulls, osprey and bald eagles circle overhead. An outdoor paradise is literally at your door step with two of Nova Scotia's most scenic towns just minutes away.

2nd Heaven Cottage is a spacious newly refurbished house consisting of 1.9 acres of oceanview, mature fruit trees and woodland. This bright one level layout has all the comforts of home including 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. As of July 2012, Canada Select and Nova Scotia Tourism have given this property a 4 star rating.

2nd Heaven Cottage is a 5 minute drive from Lunenburg and 10 minutes from Mahone Bay.

Both towns have an abundance to offer with a great variety of quality restaurants & pubs plus museums, art galleries, shopping, parks, swimming pools, tennis courts, farmer's markets, live entertainment, theatre, festivals, concerts, boat tours and tonnes more.

Just outside of both towns, the beauty of South Shore Nova Scotia awaits with stunning beaches, sea caves, walking trails, bike routes, fishing, boating and so much more. Wildlife watching is another popular past time with an abundance of osprey, bald eagles, herons, pheasant, sea otters, seals and white tailed deer sharing the beautiful surroundings of 2nd Heaven Cottage.

What a fabulous place...

What a fabulous place to relax and unwind! Plenty to do and see within a short & beautiful drive. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Highlights included the fisheries museum, coastline drives, a tour of the Ironworks distillery (don't forget to sample!), the shoe store in Mahone Bay, the mussels at The Knot ($5/lb) & lots of interesting things to photograph.

For us, the best part of the trip was unwinding at the cottage. Sitting on the porch, watching the tides and the birds was so relaxing. Lobsters & prosecco on the last night topped off a wonderful getaway!

Thanks for sharing your lovely cottage. Its hard to leave...

We really enjoyed your cosy cottage. It is very centrally located for day trips.

The deer in the backyard were an unexected delight to watch.

The launching of the Bluenose was a historic event & we could easily be a part of that as this location is so close.

The scarecrow festival in Mahone Bay was definitely something to see. Very creative people.

The sights from the Lunenburg golf course are amazing. Great pictures. Chester golf course is also truly amazing views.

We went to the farmers market in Lunenburg & found a lovely treasure to take home which will remind us of our trip to Nova Scotia.

Chris felt this was a great introduction to Nova Scotia.

Thank you for providing all the comforts of home & then some. Everything about the cottage itself was lovely. The kids (7, 5, 1) enjoyed watching the deer & playing in the orchard. We enjoyed 2nd Peninsula beach & had a great meal at Magnolia's in Lunenburg (though children are generally not met there with enthusiasm) - we eat there everytime we're in the area just the same.

So happy to see the Lunenburg Foodland carries a wide variety of gluten free breads. Dots & Loops in Lunenburg is a great place to pick up handmade anything. Such a great shop. Thanks again.

We loved staying in this lovely house...

We loved staying in this lovely house and were so thankful that Kim & Joe were so accommodating to us and our 1-year-old. The weather wasn't perfect this week, however we enjoyed a quick visit to the beach and having breakfast watching the deer do the same. Oskar loved having a new place to explore and we loved the relaxing atmosphere.

What a lovely location! So handy to both Lunenburg and Mahone Bay - two beautiful and vibrant communities that we love to visit.
