Welcome to the largest oceanfront vacation rental in Newport Beach available for weekly and nightly rentals! This unique 3500 square foot mansion was built in 1931 and was completely remodeled in 2010.

This is a one of a kind oceanfront property located just east of the Balboa Pier! There are 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms in this 3 story single family home. There are 2 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms located downstairs, one room has a queen bed and the other has a full. The second story has 3 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, one has a king bed (master), one has a queen and the other has a queen with one twin. There are also 2 attached en suite rooms that be can be closed off for cribs, or play pens. The last bedroom is off the courtyard to the left of the garage in the back house.

The third story is a crow's nest with 360 degree views of the harbor, pier and ocean! It has 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom with a raised "marine style" double bed, a full size futon and a twin bed. The spacious master bedroom has a king bed with exceptional ocean views, marble bathroom, spacious walk-in closet, flat screen TV, sitting area with a couch and a small kitchen, great for making coffee. There is an exterior entry/exit to the master bedroom with a spiral staircase that goes to the downstairs patio.

A great room on the first floor adjoins the sun room, dining and living rooms. The sun room faces the ocean. It has a couch and a coffee table where you can sit and enjoy the view of the beach, Catalina Island and the gorgeous sunsets. The living room has a large couch, arm chair, fireplace and a flat screen TV. The dining room has a table that seats 8 with an additonal folding table and chairs for 6 in the hall closet for larger parties. The kitchen has stainless steel Viking appliances, granite counters, European 2 drawer dishwasher, a dual sink, a huge walk-in pantry and plenty of counter space for preparing food.

The oceanfront patio has a set of lounge chairs and a covered Cabana with an L-shaped sofa, perfect for hanging out with family and giving shade on a sunny day. There is an extra large courtyard in the back of the house (25x28 or 700 sqft) with 3 picnic tables, umbrellas, 2 gas BBQs and an outdoor shower. There is a laundry room for guests that is located in the courtyard, just to the right of the garage. The 7th bedroom with en suite bath is in the back house, enter from the courtyard to the left of the garage.

This house is in walking distance to local restaurants, the Balboa Island Ferry, boat rentals, shops and markets. This property is extremely popular AND it’s the best deal on the beach for the size and amenities! Perfect for large gatherings, family reunions, wedding receptions and corporate events, so book now. It's the best vacation rental in all of Newport!

There are 2 parking spots in the garage (no SUV’s) and 3 additional spots located on the street, brick parking apron and the driveway to accommodate SUV’s.

This is a wonderful house for a large family, groups of friends, or multiple families. The multiple bedroom set-up is very convenient, with most bedrooms having their own bathrooms. The place is fully equipped and you can't beat the location! The one semi-negative we found was the next-door neighbor; that house has not been refurbished and the occupant plays loud music outdoors, making it difficult to enjoy this house's nice patio at times.

The house was in good condition and an amazing location. Would recommend the property on that basis. Only thing I thought was problematic was they hold your security deposit on your CC for a long time after you check out. I checked out on March 19th with no issues and as of April 6th still haven't gotten back the security deposit. It's stated in the contract that they hold this for 10 - 14 days.........just would be nice to not pay interest and get the deposit back quicker. All in all, a nice house and great location however.

Fun and funky little place with lots of rooms and bathrooms. Great for a group. Pretty quiet spot north of the Balboa pier (much quieter than the NB pier area). Less than a mile walk to the Wedge. Just a few blocks to the pier and fun-zone shops and food. Great place.

This house is perfect for a family gathering, particularly one that includes young children. The sandy beach is right outside the front door and there were lots of sand toys in the garage. The house was clean, and the 7 bedroom and 7 bathrooms provided space for all. The kitchen was extremely well supplied with all the pots, pans, baking supplies and utensils we needed. The property management staff were very helpful on 2 occasions. The first night we found that both propane tanks were empty. We called and were told full tanks would be delivered in 20 minutes AND they were. A few times we noticed that the dish washer was not completely emptying and eventually one night the kitchen sink was not draining. Again when we called Burr White a plumber arrived quickly. Both of the repairmen were very friendly and solved the problems immediately. The location of this house provides activities for all ages. Disneyland is not far away for the children and there are bike paths and good surfing for the others. There are fire pits on the beach in front of the house, and we enjoyed supper there one evening. All in all I can really recommend this house for a big family gathering. I do have 2 suggestions that might help future tenants at arrival time. Our arrival flight was late and car rental was slow. I started to worry about picking up the house keys and called Burr White. The agent was very helpful and made arrangements for me. It would have been good to know the closing time for Burr White prior to arrival and what arrangements can be made if delayed. Also our house number, 2901, did not work on Mapquest or GPS. Again the Burr White agent was helpful and told us the correct number for GPS. A big thank you to the Burr White agents. They were very friendly and helpful.

We spent decades of Christmases on the Balboa Peninsula when my in-laws lived there, and we decided it was time to go back. This is the perfect house for a large group of multiple families with adults and children. Right on the beach and walking distance to Ruby's, downtown, what's left of the Fun Zone. Kitchen was better equipped than expected, but more folding chairs would be helpful. (We had nearly 20 for dinner Christmas Eve.) This would be a great location any season.
