Overview

Sedalia Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 2 full baths (sleeps 6 adults or 5 single adults, 8 with kids)

The cabin is one hour from the Town of Sedalia and the Town of Castle Rock. It is new construction, fresh smelling and clean. Two bay windows, a slider, and other large windows provide awesome views from all rooms towards the lake. The master bedroom with private full bath has a dual control, Sleep Number queen bed. The daybed room sleeps two on twin mattresses and offers a Windows 7 PC computer with high speed internet and wifi. The bunk bed room sleeps four on twin mattresses, no adults or older teens allowed on top bunks. A second full bath is available. The living room provides a wood burning stove with logs, DVD player and HD TV with satellite, a group seating arrangement for conversation, cards, games, and puzzles, and a reading area by one of the bay windows overlooking the piney woods and lake. The kitchen bench table seats eight in front of the second bay window overlooking the lake.

On the three-sided deck there are panoramic views and an eating table. Beside the deck is a grill. Under the giant pines you can enjoy an extra-long picnic table. You can walk 300 feet up the dirt road to a lakeside grill and picnic table. The beaver dams are at the bridge. We are close enough to everything, yet far enough to be away from it all, truly a cabin to replenish your soul.

About Margie Lang

I am a grandma who has traveled, lived overseas and worked with orphans.

Margie Lang purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Margie Lang chose Sedalia

I went searching in the Rocky Mountains, found a rare lot to build a cabin on the shores of a lake with a close mountain view. It's a place to take a walk or put your feet up and renew your soul in the glory of God's nature.

What makes this cabin unique

It's the best of both worlds. I love the 3-sided, panoramic views from my windows and deck with tranquility and wildlife all around. Yet I am close to civilization, near Woodland Park and the Pikes Peak tourist and sports area.

Beautiful Scenery Great Hostess

  • 5 of 5

Hi Margie, this is a bit late but wanted to still send. The cabin was absolutely amazing especially in the snow. Yes, not for handicapped individuals at all and definitely come during the daylight. Unfortunately our flight came in so late due to a delay in Seattle. We appreciated your graciousness as it was a blessing and we enjoyed the time we were there for a small family gathering. Loved the sleep number bed and all the other amenities that are available. My mom especially enjoy the music provided as it relaxed her spirit. Again thank you for sharing your home and all you did for us.

Anniversary

  • 4 of 5

One of our favorite so far. Smartly designed for easy access into cabin,

Large windows and porch for taking in the great views. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Blessed to be there, didn't want to leave. It's as advertised, we will recommend to friends.

Thanks Margie

Snowy beautiful retreat

  • 4 of 5

We arrived in a Spring snowstorm and by morning with 15 inches the view was awesome. Our children enjoyed sledding and playing in the snow all mornings we were there and by afternoon hiking the mostly clear road. The adults had a memorable time also rElaxing without cell phones although we could still message to family via the internet. We were a little disappointed in mattress quality and furniture quality as we lacked support in both to really be comfortable. All in all we enjoyed the cabin stay and are thankful for the time spent there! Beautiful art work, keep painting!

Owner's Response: Very cozy at the cabin with comfy cushions for chairs and leg rests so you can stretch out in front of the wood burning stove and the bay windows. There is a land line phone for your convenience. The queen bed has a Sleep Number mattress but often people don't know how to work the control for their personal preference. Lovely in the snow and lovely in the summer, actually one of the best views from a dwelling anywhere around.

Perfect Getaway for the Family!

  • 5 of 5

Traveling from the Midwest to Seattle in our Prius, we decided to take a break near Denver and meetup up with family friends. Margie's place was beautiful. It was new, clean, comfortable and relaxing. Between our two families there were 8 of us, and it easily accommodated. The Cabin was filled with countless sources of entertainment from children's books, games, a tire swing for the little guys,

as well as great TV channels and fast Wifi. A beautiful picturesque Cabin filled with peaceful nature paintings of the surrounding area.

Highly recommend!!!!

Owner's Response: Sleep Number bed is wonderfully comfortable. Best if people don't play with the controls and break it.

Nice place but had problems

  • 2 of 5

Nice cabin with a beautiful view but we had problems getting into the cabin. The owner sent email instructions how to enter but I did not receive them. The day we were supposed to arrive I spent the day trying to contact her and did not get response so we ended up spending the night in hotel. She returned my calls the following day but would not give us any refund for the night we could not get into cabin. Beds are not too confortable and the master bed sleep number matress does not work.

Owner's Response: Please note: the week or two before the occupancy date, guests must be on the lookout for an email with important directions, entry code, etc. If you wait until you arrive in the mountains to contact me about entry information, you will likely not have cell phone coverage and I will not receive your message. Fortunately this renter emailed me so I was able to respond in time for him to enjoy most of his stay at the cabin. This is a simple mountain cabin, nothing fancy, but very enjoyable in a beautiful setting.
