It's a great piece of Manitou Springs history. built at the turn on the 19th century. The home is located only two blocks from downtown Manitou, so it's in a very walkable location. The fact that it's located near the eastern edge of downtown means you miss most traffic when you drive. Also there is off-street parking in the rear of the home which is a huge plus in Manitou

This house is absolutely awesome. Is located in a good neighborhood, and is a close walk to town. All the amenities is there. Great parking in the back of the house (off the street). The owners are very nice and helpful. We decided at the last minute to rent a house for our little Colorado adventure, and Mr. Clark and Ms. Murray got everything cleared away and taken care of in no time and helped us have a beautiful place to stay with no delays. We enjoyed watching the "wildlife" outside the back door and windows as much as we enjoyed the mountains and Colorado experience. There was deer that came and ate from the neighbors back yard everyday and squirrel that frolicked and played everyday. There was black squirrel, which we had never seen before. Oh, and I would also like to mention that the place is pet friendly, which is a must for us. Our pets are like our children, and we can't leave them behind. Thanks again for the use of your lovely place. We did so much truly enjoy it, no complaints, and we would highly recommend to anyone.
We had a 5-sibling reunion in this sweet house and found it to be heavenly. It was beautifully furnished with antiques and updated with modern amenities, spacious and private, fun colors and very good vibes. The owner had thought of everything. Very comfortable and in a great location!
Our family stayed here for the 2013 USAFA Graduation. Was a wonderful stay and we had all the conveniences of home, including the ability to grill outside. The drive was not far from the Academy, and was easy to get to for all the graduation week activities. It was nice to walk to the park with the kids and check out the many springs of Manitou as well as all the downtown shops.
Was so much better than staying in a hotel and for a very resonable rate! The home is beautiful and has a lot of character, but all the modern conviences, such as satellite tv. You won't need to pack a lot since it's pretty much like being at home. And unlike other homes we've stayed in, there were PLENTY of towels and toilet paper, both important when you're away from home!
I would highy recommend this home! We had a lovely time and would stay here again.
So enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. Nine of us stayed for five days without feeling overcrowded. We loved the convenience of your home.....located near so many attractions. It was especially nice to be able to walk into Manitou Springs and enjoy the quaint shops and restaurants. Thanks for a perfect vacation!!
My husband, daughter, son-in-law, two grandsons and I recently stayed at this beautiful Victorian house and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location was perfect, just off the main street of Manitou Springs, and convenient to everything we wanted to do. The house was even more beautiful than we expected from the pictures on the website. It was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking and we even got to see deer in the backyard most mornings. The owner, Michael, was available anytime we needed anything. Our whole experience was pleasurable and we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay with beautiful surroundings in the Manitou Springs or Colorado Springs area.
Four couples rented this house, which is just a block or so up from Manitou Ave., easy to get to the shops and restaurants without having to find a parking spot along the strip. We had room for four vehicles in the space behind the house. There are two outdoor spots, a patio off the kitchen with an eating area under a shade tree. A narrow deck runs the length of the second floor, room enough for a small table and chairs, and enhanced by a mountain view, The stairs off the deck to the parking area simplifies getting luggage to and from the second floor.
The house is divided into a self-contained apartment on the first floor and another on the second floor. Both have two bedrooms, a kitchen, parlor, bathroom, and laundry. One of the bedrooms on the second floor is smaller than the rest, but you can stow your gear in a large room that is currently the parlor (which, per the owner, might switch roles with the small bedroom in the future). The lower level has an additional full bath and large dining room. The first floor kitchen is roomy and also has a breakfast table. Because of its age, the closet space in some rooms is minimal and there are some architectural quirks, but the larger common rooms offset them. The house was clean and appeared recently refreshed and the furnishings were in good condition. The wi-fi worked well. The owner is responsive and congenial. If we had another large group, I would rent this again.
Manitou Springs is linked to the surrounding area by numerous trails and parks scenic drives. Including Garden of the Gods and Red Rocks parks, Barr Trail to Pikes Peak, Waldo Canyon, Rampart Range Road, Williams Canyon, The Inteman trail, and much more. There is the Cog Railway and the Pikes Peak highway both of which take you to the summit of America's Mountain and beautiful, historic Ute Pass.
There are so many varied attractions in this area that you are sure to find something for everyone. Whether you stay for just a few days or a month you will not have time to see and do it all.
