Weekend getaway with friends

  • 5 of 5
Just spent the weekend at Twine House with 2 other couples. The house was lovely. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It was not too far from downtown, we could have walked the 10-12 blocks, but we chose to drive into town and park the car for the day rather than walk. Has a great backyard with a firepit that we enjoyed each evening. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked dinner at the house one night. Strongly recommend this home.

Great Place to stay in St Augustine

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I just returned from St Augustine where we stayed at this great cottage. Everything was as described. It was very up to date, very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The patio was great and provided a lot of shade. As far as we could tell it never gets a great deal of direct sun due to the shade trees so it was a good place to sit and read or relax without getting sunstroke from the Florida sun.

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and is a little over a half mile from the center of town (Flagler College). We like to walk so this was great for us and we rarely had to use our rental car. Walking back at night can be a bit of a concern since many of the street lights are not high intensity and few and far between. The sidewalks are made out of cobblestone, may be uneven or even non-existent so walking on the quiet streets worked best for us. We were surprised how quiet the neighborhood was. We rarely saw other people during the day and none at night which was spooky since it was Halloween.

Only negative is that there are no grocery stores within walking distance, which is not the house's fault since there are no grocery stores in the town as far as we could tell. There is a convenience store nearby that was good for picking up some things but we had to drive to a larger store to pick up our supplies for the week.

St Augustine is a great town to explore on foot and this is a great place to call homebase.

I celebrated my birthday

  • 5 of 5
This was a wonderful, warm and comfortable for a long weekend to celebrate my .. birthday. My son, along with his girlfriend, and I enjoyed this quaint, yet very comfortable and accommodating home. The moment we opened the door we were impressed with all of the amenities. It all the comforts of home, and I'll definitely plan to return again in the future.

Twine House

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I and our 2 adult children stayed here for the week. Everything you need is here to make for a very relaxing stay. It's close to town, 4 bikes and a bike lock are available if you want to bike down town, an umbrella for going to the beach, a great fenced in backyard with grill, pet friendly, and beautifully decorated. Many amenities were made available and the owner is very friendly and helpful.

Twine House Weekend Stay

  • 5 of 5
Our stay at the Twine house was wonderful and relaxing. Only minutes away from the downtown historic area. The house was very clean and well maintained. The owner was easy to work with and very friendly. They provided more than expected on the amenities than I thought, which is great!
I would definitely recommend this property for anyone that will be staying in St. Augustine and we will be back soon!!!
