We had a little trouble getting the keys, but once we got into the condo everything was great. The location was perfect. We walked to Reading Market, the Liberty Bell, and the museums. We were close to restaurants, tour bus stops, and the metro. One night we made dinner and didn't have enough pans for the meal, but we made it work. The roof top patio would be the perfect spot to wind down after a long day of work or visiting tourist attractions. Plenty of tables and chairs plus a grill and fantastic views of downtown. Our only complaint was the lack of window coverings. The bright lights woke us up pretty early and we were still on mountain time. Curtains might also cut down on some of the traffic noise. The valet parking in the building is a bit costly. One morning it took almost 30 minutes to get the car. Over the weekend we found a parking garage within walking distance for 1/3 of the price. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again.
I had an excellent stay. Jinni and Andy were very attentive and a joy to work with. Very hands on and immediately responsive. They care a lot for their customers. It really shows. The property is very close to the Convention Center, as in only about four blocks. This made for a very easy walk back and forth to the conference I was attending. The condo itself was very clean, spacious, and well cared for. Jinni and Andy even stocked the kitchen with bottled water, fruit, and coffee for my arrival, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. The building is very nice too. I would quickly recommend staying there to friends and family, as well as rent the condo myself again if returning to the area.
Great experience. This was my first time using Homeaway, and I was a little nervous about the whole thing - but Jinni and her husband were very communicative and thorough. I would totally stay here again. The condo was perfectly located in Center City. The condo is in a renovated historic building, and it is clean and safe. Very close to Love Park and City Hall. Public transportation is basically right outside the front door, but if you like to walk like I do, you can see most of the city landmarks on foot. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cookware and utensils needed to make your own meals, plus they even had tea, coffee, and bottled water, which I thought was super thoughtful. I loved the wifi too!
Great property. Clean, comfortable and great location. Easy to access public transit and historical sites. Nice amenities in building. Owner is very helpful and caring.
Condo is beautiful and located in the heart of Philadelphia. We used the SEPTA transit to get around. Only used our rental car one night when we went to the hockey game. There was only one TV in the living room (none in bedroom) which was ok with us. The rooftop had a great view of the city (20th floor). Would be a good place to hang out. All the people we ran into were very nice. We used the Big Bus touring company to get the Independence Hall activities because it came by very close to the condo building. The bus tour covered all the attractions around the city. We had a wonderful time.
The condo is as pictured and described on the website-modern, clean and well equipped. It is in an historic building which has gone undergone an elegant refurbishment. There is a valet at the entrance and a concierge in the lobby. The apt. is several floors up, but there is a bank of elevators-all are clean and prompt. The location was ideal for us as newcomers to the city. Directly across the street is Love Park with a great visitors center. The employees there will provide you with any information you need. We enjoyed the Big Bus city tour (hop on-hop off)- it pulls up right by the visitors center. The entrance to the subway is also at Love Park-we rode this to the Phillies games with no problem (the football and baseball stadiums are together quite a distance from the center city). The apt. building is very close to the beautiful and huge city hall, so you have a landmark when walking. Great shopping is only a few blocks away. There is a small market a short distance away and Trader Joe's is a few more blocks, but not unreasonable. Beware that beer is sold only in a very few stores and is at least twice as expensive as at our stores-evidently, the license is very hard to obtain. Coffee, however, is very easy to come by as there is a Starbucks in the lobby of the apt. building. One thing we really enjoyed was the valet parking which was relatively inexpensive, especially on weekends. We drove up to the building and unloaded and did not have to worry about moving the car or what damage was being done to it. The valet promptly brought the car to us at the end of our stay. Our host Jinni is a delight. All arrangements from start to finish were handled in a professional and efficient manner. We enjoyed Philadelphia very much and hope to return now that we are more familiar with the city. We would definitely consider staying in this apt again.
Just a short walk to the Philadelphia Convention Center, Love Park, Logan Square, Ritten house square and a hub of activity where you can enjoy world class dining, night clubs, trendy boutiques and the upscale shops of Walnut Street.
Valet parking is available in the condo building with extra charge.
