Perfect for Family!

Our family LOVED this cabin and the gorgeous, clean lake which is right out front, across a lovely lawn. The neighbors were quiet but made a point of welcoming us and offering any assistance we might need. The lake was peaceful but got lively with boaters on weekend afternoons, then fell quiet again in the evening.
The cabin is large with plenty of sleeping space. The furniture was comfortable and clean but not fancy so I didn't have to worry if the kids climbed on it. There were lots of DVD's and games, but the kids had so much fun in the lake, and even went outside in the rain, that we didn't need to use the movies much. There is a sheltered shallow spot protected by the larger dock where our little ones played for hours. We had to be sure to use the safety latches on the doors so the three year old wouldn't try to go to the lake without an adult-he loved it that much! This house is well equipped for kids and parents alike. There were many sizes of life jackets in good repair, and even a child's play house!
There is a grill in a covered area, and we ate outside on the picnic table or on the screened-in porch every night. We roasted marshmallows over a fire at the edge of the lake and we even saw a bald eagle!
There were two canoes, and we paddled to a spot where we picked blueberries right from the canoes.
The master bedroom is downstairs, which gave us privacy. All the kids' bedtime antics were upstairs with my sister in law presiding, so we had a large space to ourselves. The downstairs bathroom is larger, with a full tub, and it's door is inside the master bedroom, so we even got a romantic bath in private! In the morning we took our coffee out to the dock to watch the sun rise and the lake was a still as glass.
We had one question when we arrived and we called the owner and she was completely helpful. The whole rental experience was very professional and friendly. And town was a short drive away, so groceries were convenient.
There are lots of things to do nearby but we never left the lake; the kids had a blast!
I would definitely recommend this rental!
