Dear Susan,

It was the best family vacation since 2008.

Great town, friendly people everywhere, slow pace and at the end of the day we retired to a cozy, well appointed, very comfortable home. Thank you, we built memories there last week.

Regards,

It means lots of Rest and Relaxation and, the ambiance of Paradise!

My wife and I absolutely loved the accommodations! They were impeccable! The home is so very clean from the bed linens to the towels to the kitchen - all the rooms were spotless!

This wonderful place is big and built for many people and parties! However, it was just my wife and I! I'm retired and my wife still works - and it was just what we were looking for!.

We had everything at out finger tips; the kitchen was loaded with everything a cook would need! We had hi-speed Internet and satellite TV if we were so inclined! And, Port Sanilac!

We walked to everything including miles and miles along the beach! We had a bit of overcast and gloomy weather, but it made no difference 'cause everything was so darn perfect! Good food at the local pub and restaurants. We met some wonderful local folks that really made us feel like we were home!

As a matter of fact, it reminded us of San Pedro, CA where we moved from to NE Indiana eight years ago. There's just something about the water the we love! We love the beach and we absolutely loved the wonderful home.

It was truly a 5 STAR experience!

The home is beautiful!

  • 5 of 5
I have stayed in a lot of homes over the years and I must say this was the most relaxing place. I went with my girlfriends and we got up in the morning and had our coffee on the front porch and stayed there until we went to bed at midnight. The furniture on the porch is extremely comfortable. The lake is a two minute walk! There are also restaurants, shops, and ice cream all within a five minute walk. The house is fully equipped with anything you should want or need. I am somewhat clean freak and the house was spotless! The beds are extremely comfortable and the furnishings beautiful. There are a lot of antique shops within a 15 minute drive. The grocery store in town has anything you may need if you desire to cook. I have never written a review of a house before but after staying there I knew this house was something very special that deserved a review.

The addition of the washer & dryer for this season is a great improvement. Plus the internet access that you have makes this place perfect for those of us that need to stay connected.

Great break from Toronto City

  • 5 of 5
My wife, daughter, sister and father had a wonderful 5 days in Port Sanilac. We enjoyed the town itself, went to nearby beaches and also made day trips to Detroit, Ann Arbor and Frankenmuth.

The cottage is just like the pictures. Its great to stay in a cottage and building with so much history. Susan has the cottage fully stocked with everything you could ever think of. It has a fantastic front porch and beautiful garden.

Also very affordable for what we got, Ontario for this would be more expensive.

We had a minor inconvenience that the wifi was not working in the cottage at the time, even though the village has wifi (if you take the 5 minute walk there). Susan was so nice she gave us 50 dollar certificate for Uri's where we had an excellent dinner on our last night, she really was great to us.

All of us enjoyed the time there from the ages of 2 to 72!

Thanks susan!

Mark

ps if anyone has any questions please email me at phin_bury@yahoo.ca

I would recommend this cottage to anyone we had a great time and having no wifi was a blessing for me as I did not work all week! My sister made the trip to the diner for wifi.
