Welcome to the McCabe Cabin on Lake Henry. We call it a cabin, but with 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and over 5000 square feet it really is more of a lake home. Whether you are looking for a place large enough to have a family reunion or someplace intimate enough for a small gathering the McCabe Cabin is the perfect choice.

We started renting it out to friends and family in the summer of 2008 and had such a positive response that we have decided to expand it to off season and more specialized rentals such as scrap booking. Why The Owner chose Alexandria

We purchased this home in 2005 and have not been able to use it as much as we had hoped so we decided to rent it out during the weeks that we are not there. It's located on a quiet lake within walking distance of downtown Alexandria MN.

We are located just across the lake from the main snowmobile trail in the area. It allows you to access over 600 miles of groomed trails.

The perfect family get-together house!

Nine of us gathered at the house for four days for a family wedding, and it was the perfect place for all of us - plenty of personal space, amazing living and family room spaces and a great kitchen. Even though it snowed the whole time we were there, we were comfortable and well-entertained indoors!

Unbelievable experience!!

I can not say enough about this location! We arrived to find an impeccably clean, well maintained and immaculately furnished home. The pictures on the website do not do it justice, the rooms are large and the amenities plentiful. There were 10 of us staying for a long weekend and we were never short on room. I hope that we are able to go back again, it would truly be a blessing.

Wonderful Christmas celebration at McCabe Cabin!

We had such a wonderful time gathering at McCabe Cabin for Christmas. The home is beautiful and so inviting. The owners were great to work with. There was ample space and amenities. We were so happy with this cabin and plan to return in the future!

This was a gorgeous home accurately portrayed in the photos. With 6 bedrooms, there was room for my 3 kids and their families including 3 grandchildren. The owner was very helpful in the questions I had and responded quickly. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs and making s'mores in the fire pit. The kitchen was well equipped for any kind of cooking. I would highly recommend this well furnished home to anyone.

This home was a perfect place for our annual girl's weekend getaway! It accommodated all 12 of us comfortably! The beauty of the lake home, (both inside and out), was amazing. It was clean, comfortable and inviting! We really appreciated the beautiful fall decor on the front porch and utilized it as a beautiful background for our group photo! Everything we needed was in the home, and the grill was a nice amenity too. We were able to enjoy a bonfire both days! We felt so welcome and well-cared for by the owners. We had a fabulous time and will always remember the memories we made.
