Imagine spending time in this recently completed home, with a rustic décor, located on a quiet, serene and heavily wooded half acre in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in Cental New York State. While “living in the trees”, this location also offers 100 feet of river front on the Historic Moose River. Also unique is the fact that, at the same time, you will have the convenience of public utilities and walking distance to all of the great amenities that the very quaint and Historic Village of Old forge has to offer! “Yup”, just one block away you’ll be right in the middle of all the shopping, dining, movies and other village activities that you can handle!
The house is an open plan with lots of natural light, vaulted pine covered ceilings, a lofted bedroom and numerous views of the River. The Master with a large shower has its own balcony as part of the rear wrap around deck. EACH bedroom has a relativley new, pillow top Queen bed. Two wood fire places will keep the “chill” away on some of those cool evenings. With direct access to the river, canoe and kayak rentals are right next door.
Another unique feature is our rate structure. You’ll find it very competitive for the amenities offered partly due to our “Clean and Save” feature. When you leave the house as clean as you found it (linens, towels, dishes etc.) there will be no charge for cleaning. A quote for the cleaning process can be provided.
Since completion and for allergenic reasons, the “Four Seasons” has never been smoked in nor housed pets. Please help us retain this integrity by leaving the pets at home and limiting smoking to the outdoors. Thanks.

We have been visiting Old Forge since 1956 when we were attending college @ SUNY Cortland. We came up weekends to ski at the village slope Maple Ridge. Now the village maintains a much larger facility on McCauley Mountain. Our family purchased the half acre back in 1960 and placed a small mobile home on it. Over the years a large room and fireplace was added with one large roof over the unit. As our family grew ( now 11 Grandchildren) and needing more space we built this home in 2000. Coming back to Old forge is like coming home. All of our children learned to ski here and now the Grand kids are doing the same. What we love most about Old Forge is that, over all this time, the village and it’s residents still maintain that warm , friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Try it once and you will return.
The adults enjoy the quiet solitude of this location in the woods. When they feel the need for activity most appealing is the fine dining, first run movies, first rate live, on stage plays, hiking, access to the river for canoeing and the fantastic views from atop McCauley Mountain. A must see is the recently completed Art Center called the 'View'. Most of the above is a convenient walk from the house, Of course the youngsters could spend all their time @ the Water Park and be happy ! They also love swimming at the beach, horseback riding, the river access and boating on te Fulton Chain of Lakes
