We pride ourselves on offering a home which is a beautifully furnished, 'one of a kind' Woodstock Classic combining old and new to create a striking contemporary feel. We can proudly say that all who have stayed here have been greatly pleased with the beauty and comfort of the house and the landscaped lawns and gardens, especially enjoyed by children. GREAT HOUSE FOR FAMILY REUNIONS AND/OR COUPLES TO SHARE with 4th twin bedroom and full sofa bed for extra guests. Quiet and private setting on 4 acres feels a world away from
civilization, yet a short walk (1/2 mile) into the vibrant center of Woodstock & even shorter 1/4 mile walk to the popular summer swimming stream with great swimming holes enjoyed by locals and visitors over the years.
Bluestone fireplace highlights Great Room. Floors are a pleasing mixture of wood, tile, slate, bluestone & carpeting. Open, spacious floor plan provides gathering areas as well as privacy for up to 3 couples or large family & extra beds for additional guests.
Large windows & skylights provide bright interior with views from every room onto lush gardens, rolling lawns & surrounding woods. Several decks and patios provide comfortable outdoor enjoyment.
Other amenities include DSL wireless Internet, cable TV, air conditioning, ceiling fans, fully equipped cook's eat-in kitchen plus a formal dining room that can seat up to 8.
Location of Property: This property is ideally located providing both quiet seclusion yet convenient access to Woodstock, which is one minute away by car or a comfortable 6-7 minute walk. The four acres are bordered by a wooded forest of native trees, including many white birch. hemlock & pine. Within the center of this border is the house, surrounded by landscaped gardens, stone walls and paths, and a sweeping lawn for badmitton, tossing a frisbee or just lolling about. The decks surround the house on two sides, creating a large gathering area as well as little private retreats. It is ideally situated for convenience AND a feeling of rural retreat. The property is reached by a non-thru country road where peace and quiet prevail, yet all the conveniences of Woodstock (shopping, restaurants, farmer's market, health food store) are but a short walk away. Car not required, especially for weekly stays as Trailways bus from NYC comes into Village & we fetch you & deliver you back to bus at end of lease.
Additional Rooms: There are several desks throughout the house, providing an ideal places to set up computers for those times when a little work is required. There is wireless internet and many comfortable spots to lounge about with laptops as well. The office provides a quiet get away when quiet and privacy is essential, and can provide extra bedroom space for one. Landline phone service is provided for local calls.. Cell phones DO work at this property location. (Many areas in Woodstock, there is spotty or no cell service.)

FAVORITE WITH HITS FAMILIES: This location offers maximum convenience to Woodstock Village (6 minute walk to village green) but is located on the east side of Woodstock, eliminating the need to go through Woodstock especially nice on busy weekends. This makes travel to Saugerties a breeze. When back at the property, the home, decks & grounds offer ample space to spread out and relax when returning after a busy day at the horse shows! The chraming village of Woodstock offers fine dining, great shopping and numerous galleries and entertainment at various venues. This property offers a rural retreat, convenience to Woodstock village, and easy drive to Saugerties horse shows giving you the best of the area in comfort, location and convenience!
