About The Owner

We found our home on a perfect fall day in D.C. when Lincoln Park was teeming with sunbathers, flag football games, kids, and dogs. From that moment we knew that we had found our home and love the small town feel in a big city like D.C. Despite starting a family of our own we have resisted the temptation to move to the suburbs, loving the convenience of living so close to museums, monuments and all the other culture found in this great city. We hope you'll enjoy the neighborhood and its convenience as much as we have.

Excellent Homebase for a couple or small family!

Location! Location! Location! What a great homebase for sightseeing in DC! From this cozy apartment we walked daily to the Capitol or Eastern Market neighborhood, or to the Mall. There is also a Capitol Bike share station just down at the end of the block out the front door. There for $7 a day or $15 for 3 days you can check out bicycles and ride them anywhere for 30 minutes for no extra cost. That easily gets you to anywhere on the Mall, the monuments, the white house. Then you deposit the bikes at another station that are located all over the city, and check out another bike when you need one. There is even a handy app to check real time availability of bikes at the various stations.

The apartment was just as advertised! It is cozy and perfect for a couple!
We stayed with 3 kids - 2 who bunked on the pullout sofa bed (no complaints) and our youngest who used a single airbed mattress on the floor. It was tight at night, but it worked for us! I wouldn't recommend for 2 couples though.

Owner, Natalie was very helpful and responsive both during our stay and before. And the apartment is clean and well-maintained! Ready to rent!

I would definitely recommend this apt. to friends travelling to DC. We really enjoyed living in the Capitol Hill neighborhood! There is a great market just across the Park square for specialty items, coffee, beer, wine, etc. There are several small grocery markets just blocks away. Also we enjoyed the Eastern Market neighborhood - coffee shops, restaurants, and of course the Weekend Flea market and Fresh food market! We didn't try the new restaurant next door, but we wish we could've gotten over there - because it looked good for a fancy evening meal, dessert or glass of wine!

We loved our stay in this darling apartment and plan to stay here again when we return to visit our grandchildren in the Spring. Close to restaurants (loved Cava Mezze and Banana Cafe), supermarket, and Eastern Market.

A Delightful Stay!

Our family stayed in this well equipped, delightful apartment. The children enjoyed the family friendly park located directly across the street between jaunts to all the tourist sites. We walked to the Capitol and surrounding sites within 15 minutes. Our children range from 15 to 4months and the walk was simple and in a beautiful neighborhood. Our hosts were very helpful, with a lot of knowledge about he area. The apartment included added sleeping with blow up beds, which we used. The kitchen is fully equipped making it easy to prepare meals. There is a washer/dryer which was wonderful having little ones. We would recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable, safe stay while enjoying all the city has to offer.
We walked, used the metro and drove to other cities. All were convenient. It was simple to find parking close to the house. If you plan to tour only DC, we recommend either walking, or using the metro system. We stayed during the second week of October. Beautiful weather!!!

Our two weeks were very pleasant. Cooking for ourselves was easy. There were plenty of utensils, pots, pans. We shopped at the nearby Eastern Market and the new organics store on 8th. Both are close to the Metro stop. 8th has lots of restaurants as well.
Lincoln Park is abuzz with kids, dog walkers and joggers. Great neighborhood feeling.

We were happy with the bed, closet space and shower. The sink had a slow leak that Colin fixed in an acceptable amount of time.

The family does live above, so there is normal family noise. We were not bothered at all, but want to point it out.

We are good walkers, and there is plenty of walking in DC-- all over plus to and from the Metro. We had perfect weather- mid 70's for our stay.

We would stay there again.
