I live in San Francisco with my husband and two daughters: ages 14 and 17. We bought this house ten years ago so that the girls could appreciate the great outdoors, learn to bike and hike and spend time catching fish in the creek. It has been a cherished part of our life. St. Helena is truly magical, and this house is on the most special property, an old Indian reservation, with a gorgeous garden and spectacular beauty that surrounds it.

The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 1999

We adore the Napa Valley.

Hiking, biking, picnicking, wine tasting, spa services, antiquing, shopping, fabulous restaurants, wading in the creek, driving through the beautiful vineyard views, etc.

Secret Garden Oasis

  • 5 of 5
This cottage is the absolute PERFECT place to stay in every way!! Not only is the owner incredibly generous and responsive, she will give you the most amazing recommendations of things to do in the area. This was our first visit to the Napa area and I would absolutely stay here over a hotel any day. The cottage is private, quiet, and close to everything in St Helena that you could possibly want to do. It is perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway, you can sit up on the hill overlooking the vineyards and have some wine or relax on the outdoor patio. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Beautiful and Convenient...

  • 5 of 5
The cottage is ideally located: walking/biking distance from downtown St. Helena which includes cute shops, great restaurants and a couple grocery stores. Not only that, the property is beautifully landscaped and has a rustic charm. The full kitchen and charcoal grill made staying in for a home cooked meal and bottle of vino easy! The cottage is also a quick drive from some of the most picturesque vineyards on Spring Mountain...be sure to get to Pride Mountain and Barnett Vineyards, you will not be disappointed!

Also, the property owner is great, very accessible and provides great recommendations.

great location and cozy

So close to town and wonderful access to everything. Enjoyed use of bikes. Keep in mind that bathroom is downstairs and they are steep. Location and other amentities make up for slight inconvenience.

Cute, Secluded Cottage Escape

  • 5 of 5
For a quick solo trip to St Helena to attend a wedding I wanted to avoid the overpriced hotels, which I found quite unimpressive. I chose this quiet little cottage on the edge of town. What a delight. I loved sleeping with the windows open in the upstairs bedroom, hearing the stream running across the road, and awakening to birds singing as my alarm clock. The smell of the jasmine blooming outside and fresh air filled the room to complete the serene experience.

The cottage comes equipped with everything you might need for a complete stay, like your own little apartment. The grounds are lovely in June, with several choices for outdoor workout, dining and relaxation.

The Napa and Sonoma County areas offer much more than the Vintner experience also. I was able to make quick trips to the Petrified Forest and the Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve, which has a beautiful day hike.

I look forward to a return visit!

St. Helena Romance

  • 5 of 5
What a great find in the cute town of St. Helena! My husband and I spent 3 lovely days in this beautiful cottage. The grounds were gorgeous, despite it being dreary and rainy. The cottage was well equipped, clean and cozy! Everything that you would need is available and if you are lucky, the owners may just leave you a surprise picnic lunch in the refrigerator as they did for us. Despite the fact it rained our entire visit, we still had a glorious time. Less than 1 mile to down town St. Helena which is just close enough to have breakfast at Model Bakery everyday. Do take note, the cottage is loft style. The bedroom is on the second floor while the bathroom is on the bottom. Fine for us, but it could be an issue for some. Oh, and no TV...which was wonderful! The owners were extremely accommodating and stayed in contact for all of our needs prior to our visit.

A Perfect Paradise for...

  • 5 of 5
What more can I say about the place where my beautiful girlfriend and I got engaged. The setting is beyond charming. It is a page out of a fairytale with flowers and birds and a tree that has the busiest bees working all day. It was just perfect. As we sat by the outdoor fireplace, it capture the moment for when and where we made our lifelong commitment to each other.

The location makes for an ideal 10 minute walk to town for dinner or to do a little shopping. I would recommend the walk since it is so easy to indulge on the wonderful foods and in St. Helena.

There is so much more to talk about, but you will really need to experience it for yourself. This is the perfect place to share with your loved one to enjoy the beauty of St. Helena.
