This beautifully appointed log home is situated on 5 natural acres with 180 degree Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay views,. The home (1920 sq ft) has 3 bedrooms, (queen, full and twin beds), 2 bath and a deluxe kitchen. 1, 2, or 3 bedroom options are available (to see home page just google ' acclaimed view log cabin homer ').The Acclaimed View Log Cabin is less than 6 miles from downtown Homer and offers a comfortable, quiet and beautiful environment. Moose visit the property almost daily as do Sandhill Cranes, Pheasant and rabbit. Occasionally a black bear will wander through. Amenities include high speed WiFi, fully equipped kitchen with appliances, microwave, gas range and oven, abundant hot water, dishwasher, DVD player. radio, TV, outdoor BBQ, large view windows and more.

Enjoy the natural beauty of Alaska in comfort: I welcome you to this handcrafted log cabin built on 5 acres overlooking Kachemak Bay, Cook Inlet and three active volcanoes. The expansive views (photographed from windows of the log cabin) add immensely to ones experience. Moose and other animals commonly are spotted on the property, especially during the evenings and early mornings. All this as you enjoy your morning cup of coffee, or evening activities, undisturbed and in peace. This home is loaded with amenities, is very comfortable and convenient, only a 12 minute drive (less than 6 miles) to downtown Homer. You will find the house to be squeaky clean. Great stay in Homer!

Very nice cabin. Incredible views. Saw moose, cranes, jays, rabbits in the yard and nearby brush. Excellent views across the bay of Mt. Redoubt and the rest of the Alaska range. Would stay again in a heartbeat, if only Alaska weren't so far away.

This cabin is actually a few miles from Homer up the hill but you will want that, esp. if you have a rental car. Was very clean and well-maintained and owner quite helpful in answering questions and available by cell phone in the area if we needed help - called to alert us that a moose was visible from the cabin.

Would recommend Two Sisters Bakery, the Sealife Visitors center, and driving out the East End Road for even more incredible views of the mountains and glaciers across Kachemak Bay.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

What a beautiful cabin to spend our time in Homer. Very comfortable and clean. Kent was very nice to work with and was there for us in a pinch. Such a lovely place to stay. We had 8 people and had a lot of room to spread out. We will definately be back the next trip to Homer!!!

Way Beyond Expectations!

Kent went above and beyond beginning with my earliest conversations with him. My husband and I felt as though we were dealing with a friend rather than just another business man. He even made arrangements for us to stay at another property when we decided at the last minute to come to town a day early and his Acclaimed View Cabin was already booked. Now that we are here in the cabin, we don't want to leave! This cabin is equipped with everything from slippers to cooking supplies and seasonings and cookbooks to videos and a grill. The photos on the website don't do justice to the bright, warm and comfortable cabin. It exceeded my expectations by a long shot. And then there's the view...unsurpassable! You need not get off the couch to enjoy the beautiful scenery, including Cook Inlet, volcanoes, and snow capped mountain peaks. Even the kitchen table provides expansive views. You will not be disappointed in Acclaimed View, nor the service provided by its owner, Kent.

So many reasons to stay here when you visit Homer!!!!

Since the view was so beautiful, the location so peaceful, the house so comfortable and clean, the moose, pheasants & other birds so abundant to observe and the owner so accomadating, I decided to extend my stay to a week!! If you are looking for all this and more in Homer, then this is where I would recommend for everyone to stay.
