Welcome to our second floor, corner unit oceanfront condo at Amelia Island Florida in the historic city of Fernandina Beach. The balcony allows you a beautiful and unobstructed view of some of the most beautiful sunrises and beach scenes you could possibly imagine on the marvelous northeast coast of Florida. You can be entertained by the many porpoises, shrimp boats, and birds that pass by all during the day.

Whether you enjoy the sandy beach or a dip in the pool, both are easily accessible at this condo. The property features a private beach access boardwalk that is directly in front of the building. Also for your convenience, Amelia South offers a large Oceanside pool that is located between the condominium building and beach. You can also relax in the Amelia Room and read a book or enjoy free Wi-Fi access offered in there. Two parking spaces are provided, one of which is a private space just for this condo.

Recent upgrades include a new HVAC unit , refrigerator, and furnishings, including a sleeper sofa that sleeps two. The carpet is new and the walls have a beautiful fresh coat of beach inspired wall paint color on them. The kitchen is complete with all appliances, and all of the cooking utensils you could ever need. The unit has two bedrooms. The master bedroom offers an ocean front view, cable TV, DVD player, and a king size bed. The other bedroom has a queen size bed and a TV with a DVD player. The condo has digital cable TV for all rooms and Wi-Fi is availible, even out on the balcony There are two full bathrooms as well, each with a shower. The breathtaking corner balcony is perfect for watching the stunning Amelia Island sunrises.

The property is located in close proximity to many of the islands finest restaurants, and is just a short walk across the street from the “Surf Restaurant” which is famous for its outdoor tiki bar and nightly live music. The beautiful downtown historical district is a short ten minute drive from the property so you can enjoy the antique, clothing, and specialty shops, including the oldest saloon in Florida. If you like hiking or history, make sure you pay a visit to Fort Clinch State Park.

If you enjoy a game of putt-putt or a movie while you’re on the island, this fun is just five minutes away. There are several championship golf courses on the island that are also in close proximity. If you enjoy fishing, there are several local charter boats waiting for you. For a short day trip, you are only 30 minutes from the stunning Cumberland Island, GA or Jacksonville, FL. While there is plenty to enjoy on the island, it is not too commercial or busy.

Why The Owner chose Fernandina Beach

Our family has come to Amelia Island for many years and we found what we thought was the perfect unit to purchase as a second home. It has an outstanding view of the ocean, and being an end corner unit, the view is not restricted by a wall.

Amelia South is a very well managed property and gives you a very secure feeling.

What makes this condo unique

Our condo is conveniently located on the 2nd floor on the North end of the building right by the stairwell. This gives you easy access to the parking lot and the walkway to access the pool and the walkway to the beach.

The balcony view is spectacular and you have a wonderful view of the beach and the ocean. If there is a fireworks event taking place at the Ritz Carlton or downtown Fernandina Beach - you can see them perfectly from the comfort of the balcony.

There are many activities to take part in on the Island. There is horseback riding, bicycle riding, and surf fishing on RIGHT ON THE BEACH. Early morning walks on the beach at sunrise offers the best time to collect sea shells. There is three local golf courses open to the public, and if you venture downtown you can stroll through many retail and antique stores, as well as embark on a charter fishing tour or a horse carriage ride through the Downtown Historic District.

Enjoyed our stay at your condo. It was very nice and had everything we needed. The furniture in the living room was perfect for several people and was very comfortable. The view from your condo was great due to it being a corner unit. The owner was available for any questions we had and was very friendly. We will definitely be renting again. Thank you for a great beach vacation.

Very nice condo. Exactly as described and pictured in photos. VERY comfortable chairs with plenty of seating. We were three but could see having more and being able to enjoy everything. Second floor view of ocean/beach/dunes was exactly what we had wanted. Weather was cold but inside condo it was fine. Lots of kitchen pots and pans and plenty of dishes and silverware.

Very Pleasant Stay

We (2 couples) just enjoyed a four nite stay. This older condo is in a very good location on the island. There was some building repair occurring during our visit but it was not disruptive to us. The sunrise views we had were wonderful with our morning coffee. And we also loved evening conversation & wine with the sounds of the surf on the balcony. The unit had all needs handled & everything was very much like the photos on the VRBO site. Fernandina Beach has a good mix of restaurants from which to choose - Bretts & Sliders are two of the best. Enjoy!

Great B-day weekend w/ the grandkids

Haven't been to Fernandina in over 10yrs. Lots of changes in town but the beach is the same. Place was easy to locate. Photos did not do the condo justice. Very nice, clean and well maintained. We will have to go back for a week to partake of the activities and attractions, like my daughter said she remember doing when she was younger. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time and wants to return.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

This was our first time in the Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach area and we lucked out finding this condo in Amelia South! It was very comfortable with all the amenities of home. The teenagers and adults all loved the balcony. Second floor access was easy with the stairwell and quick access to the beach and pool. Highly Recommend.
