A few years back I used VRBO to offer my downstairs level to travelers and people in town visiting their families. I met so many nice people and enjoyed sharing my wonderful neighborhood. I run my own life coaching business and am an instructor. i have owned the house since 1998. Summer - this is a terrific location for beautiful walks or bike rides. one direction leads to the lakes and the other takes you to Minnehaha Falls and the Mississippi river. Winter -You are welcome to cross country ski in our great park system or nearby in our downhill areas or just enjoy the winter's quiet beauty along the creek.
Paula Hemming purchased this house in 1998
This property attracted me because it was like a small town neighborhood with all the advantages of the big city that is on the City lakes circle tour.
Being right on the parkland by the creek means i often see many birds and wildlife.
I can't tell how absolutely everything worked out great staying at the duplex. The location was perfect - just like you said - for everything. The light rail was wonderful. Getting into St. Paul was so easy. The MOA easy accessibility and all the highways. We loved the shops on Grand Ave and also the market Kowalski's (the boutique was neat too). Minnehaha Falls simply beautiful!
Your city is really special. I'm so glad I had the chance to visit.
Best of luck to you. Thanks for letting us stay in your home.
As soon as I walked in I felt I was visiting my grandmother, the sights, the smells brought me back to where I grew up in Ohio. I came to visit a friend and to take in the fall color and was so well pleased. So much to see and do just outside the door. Quaint older neighborhood made for very pleasant walks. I can't wait for another visit. Everything I needed was provided in this home. Very comfortable.
Simple, but the location was great. Close to biking and walking paths, lakes, and the light rail. Comfortable bed and everything we needed.
My husband and I enjoyed a delightful 4 days in this comfortable old home. The owner was accessible and helpful in answering our questions about the locale. We enjoyed the walk to Minnehaha Falls and other destinations within a comfortable walking distance from this home. The photos shown in the listing represented the home very well. It was a convenient location to the Metro station and to the airport. We would stay here again on another trip. Friends meeting us at the home found it delightful. It was nice to have the use of a washer and dryer since this was only a few days out of our 21-day visit to the midwest. We love VRBO rentals!!!
We could not have asked for better accommodations. The house was perfect and the location was perfect. Exactly what we were looking for. Simply loved everything about it. We have found our "go to" rental when staying in Minneapolis. Thank you so much, Paula!
This was our second time to stay here. We love the ground floor apartment. It is comfortable and quiet and has everything we and our 3 dogs need. The location is great, right next to the path that runs along Minnehaha Creek and around Lake Hiawatha. We will be back this winter and hopefully one more time in the summer.
Small old house, with some updates, is located in a beautiful neighborhood right next to Minnehaha Creek. We appreciated the ease and pleasantness of our twice daily dog walks and enjoyed the central location to the rest of the Twin Cities area. Thank you Paula for having a property that allows dogs!
