Thank you Michael and Natalie for the very relaxing weekend we had in the poolhouse. The poolhouse was very comfortable, had a well stocked kitchen, and the steam shower was a special treat. The fresh farm eggs were an unexpected but much appreciated addition. The pool was very refreshing and very clean. We enjoyed walking into town both mornings and also admiring your vast vegetable and flower garden.(the scones at Cafe Quackenbush are to die for!) But most of all we just enjoyed lounging around, reading, and petting and playing with your wonderful dog, Lucy.
We will most definitely be back!

Terrific and relaxing pool house

This is an absolutely outstanding place for a couple to stay at when in Santa Barbara wine country. The pool house is so quiet and relaxing. The owners are terrific people who make you feel at home. The small but perfectly adequate kitchen came stocked with everything we needed, including fresh eggs from the owners' henhouse. Outstanding! There's no TV, but who needs it? We were trying to "get away from it all," so didn't want or need a television. The steam shower worked well. Didn't try the sauna, but it's a nice perk to have. We had fun walking around the property and checking out the vineyard area and henhouse. The owners' dog, Lucy, is very friendly.

The location is near the small town of Los Alamos, which has several cool antique shops and some good restaurants as well. Try Full of Life Flatbread for a great meal, and Bell Street Farm for terrific sandwiches and picnic supplies. I much prefer Los Alamos to the far more crowded and touristy Los Olivos, which is only a 15 minute drive away.

We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the property immensely. It was beautiful. We loved walking the grounds...the vineyard, the vegetable & blooming floral garden. The pool house was nice & private. It is a lovely view seeing the huge pool through the french doors along with the spacious lawn. The owners were very nice, even stocking the refrigerator with breakfast items and vegetables from the garden. The little town and business owners were also great. We loved the food and gracious owner of Bell Street Farms and the the pizza was excellent at Flat Bread. We liked the small town atmophere. It is a great location for exploring the wine country. We can't wait to go back.

Wonderful place to relax

My partner and I stayed in the poolhouse for 6 days just recently, and we had a very good time! This place is excellent if you are looking to relax by the pool for a few days or a week. The pool is very nice and clean, and even though there were some other guests staying at the property, we had the pool to ourselves the whole week.
The pictures represent the poolhouse very well. It is newly renovated and looks really nice. The furniture is comfortable, kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal, and we loved the steambath. According to my partner, the only thing missing was a TV, but that was fine by me - we finally had time to read all the books we brought!
Los Alamos is a nice small town, with 2 very good restaurants at either end of the village. We took a day trip to Hearst Castle when we were staying at the poolhouse, which is highly recommended. We also explored the cities of Buellton, Solvang and Santa Maria.

Michael and Natalie (and Lucy the dog) are very good hosts, very welcoming and available if you need them, but they also left us the privacy we were looking for. Michael, Natalie, thanks very much for one of the highlights of our vacation!
