Kanaloa at Kona is a premier deluxe vacation condo location in Kona Hawaii. The complex is nestled into a residential neighborhood away from traffic and other condos or hotels. Kanaloa is exceptionally beautiful with abundant space and tropical landscaping around and between buildings. The units are exceptionally large (mine is 1300 sqft). Kanaloa is surrounded by the Kona Country Club and Keauhou Bay - both add to the quiet and tranquility of this fabulous location.

Within the Kanaloa complex, only a portion of the units are truly ocean front. Most have ocean views, but it is highly special to be directly on the ocean. This condo is the very best that Kanaloa and the Kona coast have to offer. Only 2 of the Kanaloa buildings have full ocean views from the bedrooms - and this is one of them!

The sights and sounds of the ocean will fill your days and nights. You are surrounded by the ocean on the Lanai and inside the condo as well. Imagine falling asleep to the sound of waves!

We offer a decidedly luxurious and quality vacation experience for you. The furniture is solid hand-carved mahogany, tropical art work enhances every room, the beds are plush and the linens soft, the kitchen and bathrooms have Koa cabinetry, the kitchen is equipped with everything you will need and was remodeled in 2008 to provide granite counters and new appliances. Also - note that this condo is ideal for couples traveling together. Both bedrooms have California King beds!!

We also include the little touches that we enjoy and will add to your vacation. Our cable TV has enhanced digital service that includes a DVR (record those favorite shows while you are out enjoying the island). We have a home office with wired high speed internet access and wireless access in all other rooms. The office also has a printer available to you for those local maps, boarding passes, and other info you need during your vacation. We also have a good supply of beach chairs, mats, towels, and toys to use for those visits to the island beaches and parks.

About Carol

We are enormously attached to being near the ocean. Years of staying in Big Island resorts convinced us we needed a place of our own - ON THE OCEAN! We are now retired from California aerospace careers and enjoying the increased time at our condo and living the island lifestyle. We snorkel, surf, shop for Ahi sashimi to eat on the lanai, fill the rooms with fresh flowers from the farmers' markets, enjoy the great chefs on the island who feature fresh local foods, visit the fabulous used book store in Kona and read on the lanai.

Why Carol chose Keauhou

After many years of vacationing throughout the Hawaiian Islands, we found ourselves returning to the Big Island as our favorite. It has a sense of space and openness that creates relaxation. We love the Kona area for its climate and proximity to so much of the island's attractions. We viewed every condo complex up and down the coast. Kanaloa definitely has the best sense of being away from it all - secluded, residential, low-rise, low-density, and away from traffic. This particular unit it the very tops in ocean front - a lot of looking resulted in this perfect vacation home.

What makes this condo unique

The absolutely best benefit to my condo is the extreme ocean front immersion. Waves break 50ft from your chair on the lanai. We all tend to spend a great deal of time outdoors on the lanai - it is so fabulous to be so close to the ocean!! All the living area and bedroom windows look onto the ocean as well. Add to that - our attention to comfort and maintenance. The beds are plush and comfortable, quality linens throughout, a very well supplied and large kitchen, and everything is kept in top condition and very clean.

My wife and I and another couple stayed at the condo for 10 days. This condo exceeded our expectations in many ways . It's location is superb, perched on the lava rock beach with the surf providing the background music.It has all the modern amenities a home would have,very tastefully decorated and spacious. The lanai is an excellent place to eat meals or just have a drink and relax. We utilized the tennis courts and pools on site and the communal barbeques which are well kept and cleaned every day.I would highly recommend this condo and our travelling friends would agree.The owner is very helpful and responsive and the arrangements were flawless.

Our experience at this condo was wonderful. It is decorated beautifully with koa wood furniture. The owner is an artist and has a wonderful talent. Some of her pictures are in the condo. The condo is right by the water. You can sit inside and have a 160 degree view of the ocean. It is almost like being on an ocean cruise ( and you can't get seasick). The beds were soft and wonderful . Like sleeping on a cloud. the kitvchen was one of the best we have ever rented. It was equipped with everything a person would want. I would give this place a rating of 10+. The listing description was very accurate.

Wow what a beautiful location! The Kanaloa complex was so well maintained.As soon as we walked into the condo we were thrilled, as it truly was stunning! All the past reviews are right on! The rooms were all beautiful,colorful,and pleasing. The kichen is very well stocked, and has a coffee grinder! Spent most of the time on the large lanai, very comfy chairs! Both king beds were very comfy, but on the softer side.The condo is decorated with a variety of art,making everyroom so interesting.You will truly enjoy this condo and Kona, this is paradise! We ate at the "Coffee Shack"and "Jackie Reys" both would highly recommend.If you go to the market on saturday morning, go early as the fish will be gone!!!Enjoy your stay!

My wife and I spent two weeks in this condo. The location is ideal if you want an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean and sound of the surf. There are beautiful views from the kitchen, dining area, front room and the lanai. This is truly an ocean front experience. The bathrooms and bedrooms are very nice; there is an excellent washer and dryer; and the condo is outfitted with about everything you could need. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive. We are recommending this condo to our friends. The Kanaloa condo complex is located at the end of a quiet residential street. It is close to a shopping center, two golf courses and very nice snorkeling beaches. It is well maintained in a very nice "laid-back" setting.
