This property is in the heart of the city, yet you can sleep at night peacefully. You are short distance to the American Indian/botanical garden museums, DC restaurants, golf course, and many more. From your bedroom, you see the monument and the city view from 8 story high, a view to die for.
Restaurants, grocery store/CVS drug store are all across the street. Walk to three metro stations, and more than four train lines. Major airports and highways are few miles away.
$300 refundable deposit and total fees required for booking. $20 per day for parking - billed separately.

You are in the heart of everything! And blocks from metro stations!
Comfortable luxury, tourist hub location and world class customer service!
We so very much enjoyed our stay here. The owner is wonderful to work with - makes sure that everything goes smoothly and that you are all set. This studio is immaculately clean, and has several little touches that we really appreciated, such as a spices and condiments (who wants to buy those on vacation?) and a nice BIG coffee maker. The location is GREAT - about a 10-15 minute walk (we're slower and older) to the Mall, shorter distance to two Metro stations, and as mentioned, the Safeway (and CVS) down the street are VERY handy. It saved us a ton to be able to eat in most of the time. We also had a great meal at Station 4, also just down the street. And as mentioned in previous reviews, between the quiet and the EXTREMELY comfortable bed, we slept like babies!!
The only negatives are incredibly minor - yes, the a/c can be loud, but not a big deal. Otherwise - can't wait to come here again! I didn't want to let the secret out :), but such an attentive owner as this deserves the accolades!
The apartment looks just like the photo: very clean and well-appointed studio. I used the kitchen several times and appreciated having a few cooking utensils and a coffee maker. The walk-in closet is HUGE! Plenty of room to unpack and settle in. The king-size bed is comfortable. I enjoyed going to sleep with a view of the Washington Monument and the moon in the distance. Making room for the airbed was a challenge, as the couch and coffee table are large (which are good things). My only complaint is that the air conditioning unit is quite loud and may disturb your sleep (although it works effectively). The owner went out of her way to accommodate the need for an extra keyless lobby entry fob. While out jogging, I discovered a major theater company just blocks away; a true bonus for a theater geek like me! Not many restaurants around yet, but they're just a metro-ride away. This is going to be a great location once the waterfront/marina is finished with its renovation.
The property was as described and the photos accurate. The view was wonderful with the green tree tops and the Washington Monument in the distance. The location was fine and quiet, 2 blocks away from Metro, Safeway, a drug store, and a good restaurant across the street. The Safeway Deli was helpful for meals. Our 6 day stay was very nice with easy transportation to downtown and touring. The owner was helpful and hospitable. We'd stay there again.
We stayed here for 4 days to explore DC. The booking process was very straightforward and the apartment is easy to find.
It was exactly like the photos and was spotlessly clean. The balcony was narrow but it was sunny and a great place for an evening glass of wine.
The location was perfect. A quiet neighbourhood but with a very good Safeway nearby and Waterside metro a few minutes walk. Most days we walked to the main museums in less than 15 minutes.
It was so much better than a stuffy and expensive Washington hotel.
Spent a week here and highly recommend it. Good location for walking to the national mall, 2 blocks from subway, appealing neighborhood. Very comfortable, attractive condo, great balcony, good light and view of the city. Owner thoughtful and thorough. I've always had good experiences with HomeAway properties; this was one of the best.
Owner was very easy to work with. We found everything in order and just like the pictures. Very central to see all of the sites in DC, many within walking distance . We loved our evening walks along the Potomac. The kitchen was great and well equipped for making simple dinners and breakfast. Apartment is nice, has a very open feeling. It is perfect for 2 people.
This location is blocks walking distance to shops, grocery stores, Independence AVE, National Mall, Constitution Ave, American Indian museum, Pennsylvania AVE,. Navy Yard and many more!
Golf: East Potomac Park is a 300+ acre peninsula located between the Washington Channel and the Potomac River on the south side of the Tidal Basin. The park features many of Washington's famous cherry trees, has terrific views of the city and is a popular place for biking, running, fishing and picnics.
