My husband was riding in the Leadville 100 and we wanted a place to spend the week before the race. We wanted to be close to Leadville and at 9,000 feet so we decided on Frisco.
This condo was a great choice!! It is on Main Street so we didn't drive anywhere during our stay. It had a well equipped kitchen with everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy the homey environment. We ate on the balcony and enjoyed the fresh mountain air. The two car garage was perfect for our cars and bikes. And the new king bed was like being at home! From my first contact with the owner Bill, the entire process was a wonderful experience. If we return to Frisco we would rent this condo again!
We (three adults) rented this condo over the Christmas holiday 2011. I've stayed in so many places that, while very nice, lacked basic traveller essentials. This place had everything we needed: hair dryers, coat hangers, luggage racks, scissors, boot trays, tons of cookware....Actually, I can only think of one thing that we didn't have: kitchen towels. But now I'm just being ridiculous. We loved having wifi & digital cable, and we even made use of some of the random food items left in the cabinets. Owners Bill & Claudia were super-friendly, easy to communicate with, and definitely went above and beyond to get the hot tub serviceman out to the place...on Christmas eve! Unfortunately, the snow was abysmal, but we had a great trip. We enjoyed the Christmas Eve service at Christ Lutheran Church, which was about a 7 minute drive from the condo, and we took Bill's recommendation of the Fifth Avenue Grill on Main street. Surprisingly upscale, much to our delight (note to parents: leave the kids at home for this one), and the food was exceptional. We concluded our stay by recycling our empty, er, *soda* cans at the nearby facility just past the Colorado State Patrol office.
This was hands-down the best rental experience I've ever had. Bill & Claudia, you guys deserve a medal.
