This clean cozy cottage, right on the water, gives you a panoramic view of both Cheboygan River and Black River. Beautiful sunsets. This property is located on 38 miles of the inland waterway. Water skiing is allowed on the Black river where it is always calm. Cottage, is on the river between Mullet Lake and the Straits of Mackinaw where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron meet. Near the beautiful Mackinaw Bridge going to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Just a Ferry ride to Mackinaw Island. Enjoy day trips to the Upper Peninsula's Tahquemenon Falls, Sault Ste. Marie's famous Soo Locks.

Crystal clear inland lakes for boating, swimming, water skiing, and just cruising down the river. Near Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Enjoy beautiful golfcourses, Casino's and great fishing.

Tie your boat up at the dock right out in front of your cottage. Boat ramp right near cottage. You can fish right off the dock infront of your cottage.

Lots of parking. Close to shopping, sight seeing and just about any outdoor activity you can wish for. Large picture windows so you can sit back and enjoy the river view and watch all the boat traffic right from inside your cottage.

Cheboygan is the home of the famous, Gem of the North Opera House. Featuring live shows weekly.

Why The Owner chose Cheboygan

I enjoy watching the sunsets from the deck. We are water skiiers and can ski on the river any time because it is always calm. It is so close to Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island you can take the ferry over to the island and spend the day sight seeing. The island is very unique as there are no motorized vehicles allowed. The horse drawn carriages or bikes are the way to go here. The Grand Hotel is known nationwide.

What makes this cottage unique

Watching the sunsets, and boating activities, fishing and cruising along the inland waterway. The fall colors are breath taking in northern Michigan

wonderful month at cottage

My husband and I just returned from a months stay at cottage in Michigan ( we live in washington state), have family near cottage. 30 days was great to enjoy cottage and family too. !
The cottage was VERY clean and well stocked with anything/everything you could need/want.
Having the dock for fishing was GREAT also..husband caught several fish.as did neice's and nephews.
Husband says "we knew we'd made a good choice the minute we walked in door"....
Cottage was so relaxing.watching boats/ducks & their babies/swans...
Only about 5 minutes to town, so was very convenient...used WIFI at Mc Donalds every day.
Would recommend to anyone ...you wont be disappointed.
Owner came every week and mowed grass and took away garbage.
Washer and dryer in garage was a BIG PLUS.....and Bar B Q for our use.plus lawn furniture for the Deck..
We've been to Michigan several times, but still made several trips to Mackinaw City, Also drove to Petrosky and Charlevoix..quant little town with shopping !
Mulligans has Great Luncheon for $5/salad/pasta/soup bar !
Boat House has good food also, I enjoyed the Berry Chicken Salad.others had Whitefish . Those restaurants are in Cheboygan.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children

This is an older cottage style dwelling so it could have used a couple of upgrades but overall you can not beat the value simply because of the location. Wonderful view of Black and Cheboygan river. Black river is great because there are no wake enforcement rules so you can pull the kids on tubes, Cheboygan river has wake restrictions but is a pleasant cruising river that takes you to Mullet lake. This lake has great sand and clear water. My family had a great time.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Our family spent a week at the cottage in July. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the boats go by while drinking our morning coffee. We spent time teaching the kids to knee board on the Black River, went parasailing by the ice breaker, and went to see the fireworks in Mackinaw on the 4th of July. The Cottage was clean had all of the amenities that a hotel would. It is a perfect place to go and get some rest and relaxation. Two thumbs up!
