Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

This cottage was renovated in 2009. It was a summer home for a SC professor.

Now the cottage can now be used in winter, fall, summer, spring. Out the cottage doors: Hiking, Biking, Swimming, Fishing, Praying, Meditating, Wildlife, Star gazing. Close to the Green River for Whitewater rafting and tubing. 10 min. from downtown Saluda. 20 min. drive to Hendersonville. 40 min. drive to Asheville. Winter mountain and Lake views. Summer - lush green privacy.

Outdoor built-in fire pit and large stone patio. Outdoor built-in propane grill. Canoe and paddle boat at lake ready for use. No extra charge. Firewood provided for outdoor use and inside fireplace. Trash service on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fully equipped kitchen. Coffee and condiments provided. Circle drive. Easy access. Pet friendly.

About The Owner

My husband and I are both engineers. We have 2 children. It took us 2 years with some contract help to renovate the cottage. Photo of our family with our dog. We love the outdoors. We love to share the outdoors and our home with others.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2007
Why The Owner chose Saluda

We live close by. We wanted to be able to use Lake Sheila for swimming and fishing. Lake Sheila is a private lake. Perfect for swimming. Clear water. We enjoy building and preserving peace.

What makes this cottage unique

Peace, wildlife, camping feel without other tents around and all the nice amenities of a home. Lots of fish in the lake. No motor boats allowed. Perfect for swimming. Clear water. Canoe and paddle boat use with lifejackets provided. No additional charge. Boats are already at Lake Sheila ready for use.

We enjoyed our stay at the 4 Season Cottage. The property offers peaceful seclusion with convenient access to major highways. The cottage served as an excellent base camp for our day trips through western North Carolina. Our evenings were enhanced with the stone patio, grill and fire pit. The 4 season cottage is a delightful place to spend some time. We will surely return often.

The cabin was better than advertised and I was completely happy with it. The owner was a real delight, extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. I had friends come to the cabin for the day who were also blown away by the cabin and beauty of the surrounding. They also met the owner and were completely enchanted.

We enjoyed are stay at the 4 Seasons Cottage. The Cottage was very clean and we also enjoyed spending time at Lake Sheila. We would definitely stay again!

Peace and quiet just an hour from Asheville.

We did not catch any fish, but enjoyed our stay. Visited all the restaurants in Saluda including a new Mexican. Purple Onion was our favorite, but Saluda Grade was great too. It is a real vacation not to cook or do laundry for a week or to worry that you have chores to complete.

Superb Mountain Cabin

4 Season Cottage was amazing! The cabin features lovely tile floors, clean and comfortable beds, a lovely kitchen, and everywhere you walk inside, you can look outdoors! Every day we walked down and enjoyed the canoe and the beautiful lake. The outside patio and fire pit offered an upscale location to unwind at the end of the day and the owner offered a plentiful supply of firewood. In addition, the cabin offers a real sense of privacy with no close neighbors. The owner was welcoming and so nice to work with! We will definitely be returning!
