FABULOUS 3BR/2BA LODGE ON ROARING CREEK IN MAGGIE VALLEY

Maggie Valley Lodge Rental Photos and Description

Lodge, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Rated the # 1 creekside three bedroom/two bath Maggie Valley rental under $800/week by a group of local realtors in 2011 and 2012, the RED DEER LODGE lacks for nothing. Access to the RED DEER LODGE is very easy. From the Ghost Town parking lot go six tenths of a mile up Fie Top Road to Low Gap Road. Bear off to the left. Go one tenth of a mile to Ward Road and take a left (just past the creek). The Red Deer Lodge is the second house on the left....... MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY 6 PEOPLE. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO PETS ALLOWED

From the minute you step out of your vehicle, you know you are in the cool North Carolina mountains (elevation 3450 feet) from the sound of the roaring creek 15 feet from the back screened porch of the lodge. Because of its unique location, the Red Deer Lodge is usually cooler by 10 degress than Maggie Valley.

Meticulously decorated, with a combination of numerous antiques, comfortable chairs, ottomans and large fireplace-side couch, we have tried to make the RED DEER LODGE a truly comfortable and unique experience. From its 50 inch satellite flat screen HD LCD TV as well as a 39 in HD LCD flat screen master bedroom TV, massive 16 foot wall to ceiling real stone, wood-burning fireplace, modern kitchen, open counter bar stool seating, large screened back porch with four comfortable rockers and new electric start propane grill overlooking the waterfalled creek, to the many unusual wall hangings, your family will come to understand the pure joy and comfort of the RED DEER LODGE.

Additionally, we have tried very hard to make the lodge family friendly. Sleep under the covers with the windows open to the sound of the rushing creek and awake completely refreshed. Children can enjoy the real hand-made bunk-beds, fishing (poles provided, and yes, there are fish there) in the creek directly behind the lodge, playing horseshoes, croquet, or wiffle-ball, watching movies (there are over 250 catalogued (old and new) family video movies), enjoy the many games and puzzles provided, or watch nature unfold with the numerous butterflies, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and other birds, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, and fireflies that frequent the property daily.

To be sure, the Red Deer Lodge is a one of a kind experience that has been enjoyed by many renters year after year. Come join us and after your stay, tell your friends about your experience and book your reservation early next season.

This is a great cabin with terrific mountain feel. Loved the sound of the beautiful roaring stream practically out the back door. Location is very convenient and Maggie Valley is a lovely place to visit with plenty of choices of eateries and easy access to the Smoky Mountains National Park. I wish we could have stayed another week!

Returning Florida guests

We have just returned from the most wonderful 6 week vacation spent at Red Deer Lodge. This is not our first visit to the Lodge - we have been renting from Dan for several years. Our family enjoys taking turns visiting us in Maggie Valley, and this house has proven to be perfect for all of our needs. The grandchildren enjoy the large yard for outdoor games and activities, and we always have campfire evenings to roast hotdogs and make s'mores. We usually have a puzzle as a work in progress also, which is a great bonding activity. Our youngest grandchildren love to pick from the extensive listing of movies available to them for evening watching after a day out and about.

The creek is such an added plus for us. One of our great pleasures in the morning and evening hours is to sit in the rockers on the screened porch overlooking the roaring creek and soak in the peace and wonder of it all.

We are big enthusiasts of the outdoors in the mountains, and Maggie Valley is centrally located for all of our day trips. We hike, explore the area for waterfalls, zip line, white water raft, horseback ride, take trips to Asheville to see the Arboretum and Biltmore, watch the elk at Cataloochee Valley, and feed the ducks at Lake Junalaska. There are never enough days to do everything we hope to, but that always leaves us with plans for the next year!

Red Deer Lodge has been decorated with so much attention to detail that there is always something new to catch your eye wherever you look. The open floorplan lends itself wonderfully for entertaining and visiting, which we do a lot of while there. All of the appliances are new and clean, including the washer and dryer. This year we enjoyed a brand new 55 inch HDTV set that had just been installed. That was certainly a hit with all since the Olympics were on during our visit.

We are able to sleep 6 comfortably with privacy in the 3 bedrooms available. There is additional space for air mattresses if one needed to use them. With the split floor plan having 2 of the bedrooms and 1 full bath upstairs, it gives all of us an opportunity for quiet time of our own.

If you are searching for a comfortable, well-equipped vacation home in the Maggie Valley area, we can't recommend Red Deer Lodge enough. It's affordable and fun! Thank you, Dan, for all of the family memories we have made in your home.

We enjoyed our stay at Red Deer Lodge the week before Christmas 2011. The home is very comfortable and has everything you need. We enjoyed the games and puzzles and movies. The skiing/snowboarding is just up the mountain and easy to get to. We had a very relaxing time with our children and granddaughter. The owner even leaves you discount cards to use at the grocery stores. We highly recommend this house.
