Nob Hill Penthouse

I had my second wonderful stay at this property recently, and it was as delightful as the first (about 1.5 years prior). The apartment is beautiful and has all of the comforts of home. I had attended a conference for half of my stay at the Moscone Center, which was a very walkable distance. For a similar amount per night (or less) than many of the nicer hotels in the area, you can book this wonderful apartment overlooking the bay. It has a full gourmet kitchen, great dining room and outdoor space, free wireless internet, small but well done bathroom, cozy bedroom, and two living areas (one of which has a pull out couch, I believe). There is a cute market a couple blocks away, Le Beau Market, which has a nice deli, gourmet food, great produce, and a small wine store. There are a couple of nice restaurants in the area as well. James, the owner, does a fabulous job of making your stay perfect, from the very detailed email regarding the property, things to do, restaurants, etc., to the occasional check in email to make sure everything is going smoothly. I think this is definitely a great option above and beyond staying in a hotel in the area, and is accommodating for a couple or a small family, or just a solo traveler as well. If you are disabled, there is a steep set of stairs to get to the front door, plus a winding staircase up to the penthouse, as well as a claw foot tub that can be tricky to get in and out of, so probably not the best option for those with any physical ailments.
